Living in Dubai, Svetlana & Oleg met in London in 2015. Oleg is playful, romantic and adventurous whereas Svetlana is straightforward and an introvert. She likes soft, calm songs and he’s fond of rap and hip-hop. Despite these differences, they both found love in each other in the sweetest way possible. He proposed to Svetlana in Greece and she was taken aback. The bride smiles while sharing- “We rented a boat and went on a ride, we stopped to take a swim. The groom asked me to take a video and prepared to jump from the boat, instead, he fell on one knee and proposed. I was so surprised that I didn’t take any video.”
They tied the knot on 8th January 2020 in the luxurious tropical haven lounging off the coast of Phuket – The Naka Island, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Phuket. There is something absolutely special in ceremonies over water. The sheer reflection of the decor on pristine waters gives a unique look. As the bride loves a blend of pastels with neutral tones, the fab team at The Wedding Bliss Thailand created a breathtaking floral arch that constituted of white, ivory and cream flowers.
White is always a classic. Something that never gets old. The wedding theme followed timeless design elements running on shades of white and off-white with a tinge of gold to break the overall monotony. White pillar candles, hanging crystals and floating lanterns were some of the exquisite items used for the wedding, among others such as clear Napolean chairs and floral bushes. The wedding ceremony and the reception took place at Royal Horizon Pool in The Naka Island. The fairy lights and hanging ball lanterns further enhanced the evening as the open sea stretched into eternity in the background.
It was a chic, timeless, and sophisticated event filled with love, warmth and emotions. We loved how darinimages captured natural moments and colors. The result was perfect!
“I associate my love when hearing the song ‘I’m blessed’ by Charlie Wilson, I was singing her this song as a joke and now I switch it on when she is in the car. Our favorite series is ‘Friends,’ which we watched many times. I always thought I can’t fall in love with a person who does not like this series, but she loves it! So I felt from the beginning that SHE IS THE ONE!” Shares Oleg.
