For over 9 years now, the Destination Wedding Planners (DWP) Congress is known to have brought the crème-de la-crème of the destination wedding industry together. We’ve had the honour of sharing many DWP success stories and are pleased to share with you yet another one. Giritaly, one of the most established and well known wedding planning companies in Lebanon partnered with Tuscany For Weddings, the wedding specialty division of the Florence Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, came together to plan the most elegant wedding of a Saudian couple – Nedim & Iman.
The 3rd edition of the DWP Congress was hosted in Florence along with our Host Partner Florence Convention & Visitor’s Bureau in 2016, and this was the very first time Micheline Diab, Founder of Giritaly met with Chiara Gheri, Division Manager at Tuscany For Weddings. Micheline expressed her interest to host weddings in the gorgeous and timeless properties in Florence, and that’s how their association took off!
And now years later, they came together to beautifully put together a wedding that was truly bespoke. The wedding took place at the ethereal Villa di Maiano. The wedding had an Arabian theme that created a lasting impression on everyone. The celebration started with a welcoming drink in the Italian Gardens of the villa with a beautiful view of Florence, that set a joyful and enchanting mood for the evening. During the aperitivo time, guests enjoyed delicious food in the beautiful gardens of the villa.
Villa di Maiano, where the movie room with a view was filmed, was transformed into a stunning Arabian oasis with olive branches, gold accents, and flickering candles. The courtyard was adorned with orchids, Roman Medici accessories, and candlelight, which mesmerized all the guests.
In the beautiful tapestry room of the villa, the dinner atmosphere was magical, inspired by trees and nature. Surrounded by a garden of olive trees, the inspiration for the dinner decoration, which was all trees with white flowers and candles. The band added a touch of romance to the dinner and Arabian vibes.
