“99% of all wedding guests will also have a smart phone with them to post images on social media. This means that the more visually stunning the venue and food is, the better. Our team have reacted to this by steering away from set menus and buffets and focusing more on chic pass-round food. We have also been creating food in interesting colours that are being served in creative ways. Examples of this include the use of fountains, dry ice and even sparklers. Colour is trending in 2019, now the couple want colours to be incorporated in their themes, it usually should be a reflection of their personality. Florals are also starting to play a big role in décor. We see guests cover whole ceilings and walls with blossoms. Experiential Weddings are also the way to go in 2019, families want very unique, creative and engaging experiences for their guests from start to finish.” – Noreen Rocque, Director, Group Sales

“When considering the latest wedding colour trends, 2019 is expected to bring in brighter, richer and bolder colours to wedding venues. Such as; shades of orange, yellow, and purple. It seems to me that pastel hues like pink and blush have had their time in the wedding world for several years. The violet colour palette with soft shades of lavender and magenta are beginning to replace the classic tones. At Çırağan Palace Kempinski we follow these trends and execute them in our weddings that are held in our legendary palace.” – Haydar Celayir, Director of Sales

“One of our five-star palace hotel’s unique selling point is its stables designed by the famous architect Jacques Garcia with a distinctive collection of Arab purebreds. We have developed a new concept of cocktail and private dinners in the stables with a horse show orchestrated by our resident ridder artist Sadek El Bahjaoui. We also had the immense honour to test it out for Madonna’s 60th birthday and it was a real success! Open-air, outdoor spaces such as our sprawling stables should be an upcoming trend within the wedding industry.” – Emilie Pignol, Sales & Marketing Consultant

“We are witnessing a trend in destination weddings, in relation to weddings that last for three whole days rather than the traditional day long ceremony. We also foresee more rustic down to earth themed weddings in the near future.” Maya Saliba, Director of Catering

“We are looking forward to welcoming various trends in 2019. There will be weddings with more glamorous ceiling décor and more vibrant, colourful elements. This year, exaggerated forms of ornamentation will be more trendy than simple, minimalistic details.” Ayşenur Demir, Wedding and Special Events Planner
