This Indonesian Couple Turned Their Destination Engagement Into A Historic Mansion Wedding In Australia!

“Finding your true love is endless happiness. Looking after each other and trusting each other is the key to keep the love forever.”

When the 17-year-old Cynthia approached David, a party planner in Jakarta, for her birthday planning, she had no idea that she’s meeting her future husband. From the intensive meeting to planning the party, they began to date each other.

After years of building their foundation of love as well as going ahead in their respective careers, Cynthia became a well-known fashion designer, specializing in wedding and party dresses and David become one of the biggest concert promoters in Indonesia. They both tied the knot on December 7th, 2019. #DanCyngsForever

It was one of the childhood dreams for Cynthia to get married in a Victorian mansion in a beautifully intimate setting. But Indonesian weddings are usually big parties with a huge guest list. So she decided to have her engagement ceremony as a destination event in Melbourne. The couple decided to bring close family and friends who flew from Indonesia to Melbourne to witness their special day.

Poetyque Events created a romantic atmosphere in front of the Werribee Mansion Building in Melbourne. It was already so lush and vibrant, and this flower arch with a mix of dried and fresh blooms just brings it all together and makes it feel like a vibrant wedding.

For the venue, they choose Werribee Mansion. A grand, Palladian-inspired mansion, the venue is set atop 10 acres of rolling parklands. Featuring perfectly curated gardens laced with sculptural art-pieces and historic landmarks. It resembles the classic architecture of a European mansion. Cynthia fell in love at first sight when she looked at the picture of the venue.

The Ceremony was done in Christian style, and it was attended by 80+ family and close friends, and the wedding celebrations will continue in Indonesia with thousands of guests.

In the post-pandemic world, with vaccines rolling out in different parts of the world, people are slowly moving again towards experiencing the joys of a destination wedding. “Destination weddings are more likely to be memorable rather than a local wedding. You can make it a full weekend celebration than why opt to celebrate in just one day.” Says Eric Sugiono, Founder of Poetyque Events, Indonesia who planned this elegant engagement. With more than 13 years of experience in the Events industry, he is well-known for his meticulous attention to detail when planning an event.

The dinner reception took place in a beautiful glasshouse overlooking the horse ranch. It was an elegant & intimate celebration and was like a fairytale come true. The couple and guests enjoyed and cherished each and every moment.

Cynthia works as a wedding gown designer and wanted her day to reflect on her passions and her eclectic sense of style. So she created 4 gorgeous dresses for her special day which were oozing elegance in all ways.
