The Best Of Spring 2018 Couture Beauty

Amplification was the word at the spring 2018 couture show. The authoritative platform for beauty looks we’re about to spot everywhere, from the Academy Awards to the Pinterest boards of brides worldwide, the shows did not disappoint in delivering the dramatic and bold couture beauty techniques. From animated eye lines to theatrical blushes, here are some of the most noteworthy beauty moments from this season’s couture runway.

Dramatic Blush

Makeup artist Lisa Butler broke out the draping technique she described as “#LeBeatRoute” and “Bauhaus” on her Instagram for Alexandre Vauthier, which she created by tracing the eyes with black pencil and wrapped fuchsia pink blush from the temples all the way down to the apples of the cheeks in a statement worthy look. Lloyd Simmonds for Alexis Mabille too opted for the hard-to-miss technique paired with matching bright red lips.

Creative Lashes

Dior’s makeup artist Peter Philips opted for the 60s inspired spider lashes made popular by Twiggy and other mods during the era, by giving them a surreal twist, while Zuhair Murad’s models stepped out in gilded wings stretched from the lids out towards the temples that looked like a swipe of a paintbrush. Armani’s couture show featured segmented false lashes popped against a canvas of watercolor, sky-inspired eyeshadow hues.

Bridal Bedhead

Easy breezy and low maintenance hair were spotted on most of the models during the show, as hairdressers dropped the wigs and extensions for relaxed waves and hair spray.
