Spanish Romance In Switzerland – This Is How You Create A Destination Wedding Without Travelling

Quenching the thirst of couples for a destination wedding during the current times, Nicole Froelich, a destination wedding planner, based in Hong Kong came up with the idea of creating a “destination wedding in your hometown.”

Spanish Sevilla vibes, terracotta pottery, weathered stone fortress opening up her gates for an intimate evening affair.  Brace yourself as she shares her journey behind this gorgeous wedding editorial that will keep your hope for a destination wedding intact.

Olivia, Cake designer from A Cake Story in Switzerland describes her inspiration as “becoming lost in observing earthy, hand-sculpted terracotta pottery, obsessing over the dusty mat surface and wobbly hollowing sound they make as they reflect the glow of an Andalusian sunset.” This editorial also has some gorgeous details if you are planning a minimony and a lavish intimate dinner later.

Inspiration: “As a destination wedding planner, it was sad to observe how couples are emotionally suffering from postponing their destination wedding. So why not bring the destination to your home country! I wanted to recreate a Spanish romantic Wedding and plan it in a Swiss castle. The color palette was inspired by Autumn but moody and mood board was boho yet rustic.” Shares Nicole.

Cake: The celestial objects neatly crafted over a pastel pink 3-tier cake reconfirms a vibe that the journey of a marriage is also a celestial one. The super talented Olivia combined Spanish Sevilla Vibes, Terracotta pottery & the transforming moon into a true cake artistic masterpiece!

Location:  Held in the courtyard of this castle under the light of the full blue moon, the courtyard of the Schloss Prattle was converted into a stunning intimate affair rendering Sevilla boho vibes with earthy romantic tones. A perfect setting for a couple whose love story knew no barriers and jumped countless hurdles to be together.

“Our team of vendors for this styled shooting was mind-blowing! We were incredibly in sync and everything went smooth and we were all aligned on the same mood and vibe! That was my favorite part of the shooting, to inspire and get inspired by great talents! I took so many handheld fans as decor and just DIY clipped them everywhere we found suitable – from the chair backs to the bouquet fans, to the walls, tablescapes and cake holders. It was fun! The most important is to work with vendors that have a vibe together and are on the same wavelength. We inspired each other, cheered each other and got high from each other’s talents and passion! It was the best combination!” Adds Nicole.

Advice: Nicole advises the brides that can’t have their destination wedding to get creative and start sourcing worldwide decor to make it authentic and start turning their dream wedding into a reality.

The bride herself looked like a goddess from Venus as wore a breathtaking gown by Galia Lahav which had intricate lace details and was matched with a stunning cape from Jesus Peiro.
