Can you hear the wedding bells ring? This seems to be the year for celebrity weddings, as Britney Spears finally marries her longtime beau Sam Asghari in Los Angeles. The pair exchanged vows last night on the 9th of June amidst approximately 60 guests, including Drew Barrymore, Madonna, Paris Hilton, Selena Gomez, will.i.am, and other familiar names.
The singer first met her husband on the set of her ‘Slumber Party’ music video earlier in 2016, when Sam was cast as her love interest. A few months later, Britney found Sam’s number and reconnected with him, and the previously on-screen lovers quickly became real-life lovers!
Britney wore a custom Versace off-shoulder gown designed by Donatella Versace, with a leg-revealing slit up one side and a classic white veil with satin edging. Sam complimented Britney’s look in a tux by Versace. The bride’s look was complete with natural makeup done by celebrity artists Charlotte and Sofia Tilbury, accessorizing with round diamond and pear-shaped drop earrings, a heart-shaped diamond tennis necklace in white gold, and an oval diamond tennis bracelet.
No doubt having dreamed of and planned the big day for months since being engaged in September, it would have been a surreal moment for the star. Vouge reported that the couple worked with celebrity event producer Jeffrey Best of Best Events for the wedding, and opted for feminine colors including shades of blush, pink, red, white, cream, and gold, that covered everything including the marquee in which they hosted the ceremony. The fairytale setup included florals done by Marks Garden, with Britney’s secluded Thousand Oaks home decked up in pink and roses for the occasion, outside which a white horse carriage with golden hooves was stationed.
Post-nuptials, Britany changed into three more outfits, a black mini-dress followed by a two-toned outfit, and finally, a red mini dress, all by Versace.
The newlyweds exited the wedding in a decorated Rolls Royce as guests surrounded their car with sparklers.
