Meghan Markle Approved Pre-Wedding Workout

We are officially on the #royalwedding watch. In just four months, Meghan Markle will marry Prince Harry and officially become royalty. There has been much speculation about her wedding dress, cake (apparently, she insists on Banana cake!) and her modern American wedding traditions; but one thing sources close to the royal couple disclose is that she is on top of her fitness regime.

Over the past few years, before her royal upgrade, the former actress has been extremely candid about her wellness and fitness rituals. The remarkably fit Californian has always valued the importance of treating your body well, and taking care of oneself. Her mom, Doria, is a yoga teacher and Meghan was taught from an early age the importance of looking after her body, physically and mentally.

As Meghan explained to US Shape magazine a few years ago, “You have to find a workout routine that really speaks to you beyond trying to get goals for your body. So, for me, (its) running, I need it as much for my head and clearing my head as I do for keeping in shape.” Jogging is something Meghan has always been passionate about. It’s something she would often do with her best friend in Toronto, Marcus Anderson, and it’s always been a great way for her to de-stress from the demanding hours of her work.

The royal bride-to-be also shared with US Harper’s Bazaar that she is a huge fan of reformer Pilates. Particularly a boutique Los Angeles studio chain, founded by Markle’s friend and personal trainer Heather Dorak which focuses its workouts around Sebastien Lagree’s Megaformer. And the bride-to-be is all praises for the popular workout. In the interview she reveals, “Pilates Platinum is hands down the best thing you could do for your body.” “There are so many workouts that you try out once and never go back to; Heather’s studio is the complete opposite,” she testifies. “You keep coming back for several reasons: first off, your body changes immediately…give it two classes and you will see a difference; second, Heather is amazing — as an instructor, as a friend, she is inspiring in every way; lastly, the people in class are cool, unpretentious, and motivating…and that is a testament to Heather’s energy.”
