Indian Actor Varun Dhawan’s much-hyped and anticipated wedding was an intimate yet grand affair. Dhawan known for his performances in Student of The Year, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya, Dilwale and many other Bollywood flicks, tied the knot with Natasha Dalal, a fashion designer on January 24th 2021 at The Mansion House, Alibaug amidst the presence of the couple’s close friends and family members.
The wedding venue—The Mansion House, Alibaug—is a 25-room luxury property with all-white interiors and all the makings of a breezy, laid-back beach-side resort. Their intimate yet luxe wedding reassures the fact that true love can find its way even in the uncertain times of a pandemic.

DWP Insider got in touch with Saurabh Malhotra, Tina Tharwani, and Manoj Mittra, Co-founders of Shaadi Squad who spilled the beans on how they made the couples’ dream turn into reality in just two weeks! The Story
Their love story is nothing less than a Bollywood film. Varun and Natasha knew each other since 6th grade but fell in love years after when they met at a music concert. They kept their love lowkey for years, but the paparazzi would always click them whenever they would step out for a date or an outing.
Decor & Theme
Shades of ivory seemed to be ruling over the entire event, with everything from the couple’s coordinated ensembles to the flower petals being showered on them falling under the same palette. Vibrant foliage featured on each of the pandals, matching the surrounding greenery of the lawns.
The decor for the wedding was done by the internal team at The Mansion House – Eventeshoppe. “There was no particular theme that we decided on but we’re sure to have the decor for each function be done distinctively and aesthetically. While the decor for all the functions was exquisite, for us the wedding phera decor was especially beautiful. The entire poolside was beautifully ornamented with floating candles. It was further amped up with extravagant floral arrangements. The mandap was elegant yet dreamy that complemented the wedding vibe. The food – Chef Antonio from Italy was specially flown down for this wedding to curate the Italian cuisine which is the couple’s favorite.” Describes the trio.
Haldi
“Haldi done right,” was the caption as we saw an inside picture from the celebrations on Varun’s Instagram. The groom looked dashing as always and seems to have the most fun at his own wedding.
Mehendi
For Varun-Natasha’s Mehendi ceremony, Veena Nagda, one of the world’s best henna artists was responsible for creating beautiful henna designs for both the bride and groom.
Pheras
Dalal and Dhawan seemed to be in an experimental mode. Instead of choosing the traditional ‘red’ for their wedding, the couple coordinated their wedding ensembles in off-white. Natasha chose a lehenga with a deep V-neck blouse from her own fashion label for the wedding, while Varun wore an off-white bandhgala sherwani designed by Manish Malhotra.
Natasha’s hair and makeup were done by Namrata Soni, a well-known Indian makeup artist who is known for her signature luminous skin-like makeup and has worked with many Bollywood A-list actresses.
The newlyweds looked stunning and the smile on their faces tells the rest of the story. “Life long love just became official.” Varun quoted. This wedding is sure to set off the spark to welcoming weddings all over again, and we can’t wait to see more.

“The wedding was honestly planned in 2 weeks. Both Varun and Natasha were quite clear about it being an intimate affair with only the closest of friends and family. While they were flexible with the look and feel of the functions, they were sure of making it a very cozy affair. We heard them out and aimed to deliver the same. Given the time frame, there was no time to meet as such and most of the decisions were taken virtually or in real-time. Both of them were sure of what they liked and what they disliked when presented with choices. This made it much easier to get things moving quickly. Of course, we also had to plan for the testing of every guest and vendor before they arrived for the wedding as well as have a sanitization protocol at the venue.” Shares Saurabh Malhotra, Tina Tharwani, and Manoj Mittra, Co-founders of Shaadi Squad.
