Simone Tostes of Aonde Casar and a past board member at the DWP Congress Mexico shares this special wedding of Paula and Rodrigo that took place on the 25th of June this year, at Casa do Alto in Rio de Janeiro. Simone takes us through the big day, with all the details about the stunning couple and their celebration. The Bridal Look
One of the major highlights for Simone was seeing the bride all dolled up for her wedding day. With her hair and makeup done by Dennya Carvalho and a romantic lace wedding dress from Concept by Bia Vaz, she looked like an absolute dream. Paula’s bridal jewelry was gifted to her from the family, a sweet sentiment that made for a special moment. After seeing her overall look, we definitely think she’s one of the most beautiful brides we’ve seen! The groom looked equally charming in his blue suit by Vila Romana.
The Details
“Paula always wanted to get married during the day, so we organized a ceremony that starts in the late afternoon, so they could take all the beautiful protocol photos during the day and the party booming at night. The decoration also followed this logic of time. My dear Daniel Claret rocked a project that became brighter over time. I loved that he used a lot of natural fiber and wood elements. I thought they matched perfectly with the country wedding atmosphere that Paula wanted so much.”
The venue sits on a beautiful mountain range in the middle of the city, offering sweeping views of the landscape that complemented the romantic celebrations. The wedding featured rustic, romantic, and chic decor elements created by Daniel Claret, with wood furniture, landscaping, and a beautiful orchids tree with white and pink colors touches, plus a contemporary all-white cake by Casal Garcia.
“The other highlight of the party was, without a doubt, the pasta and risotto stations prepared by Casa do Alto. As an Italy lover, I drooled when I saw the table full of pasta, tomatoes, and homemade sauces being set up. It makes me hungry now.”
The ceremony had many special and emotional moments throughout, but Simone shares one beautiful thing that touched every heart in the room, not leaving a single eye dry – the groom’s vow.
An excerpt: “We didn’t know each other in childhood, we didn’t have a previous history, we didn’t live a great past romance, we were on the way, and we met, we held hands, and that’s how they remain to this day. We have our pasts from when we were still apart. He’s there, there’s nothing to be done. I only know that on this journey, as for ours we find peace, as for the present we find grace, and as for the future, we will have glory.”
After the beautiful ceremony, the couple hosted a memorable reception party with lively music, drinks, and food that was loved by all!
They ended the night with guests holding up sparkler sticks to send off the newlyweds in style.
“Paula and Rodrigo became great friends of mine, and it was a great pleasure to orchestrate their beautiful celebration at Casa do Alto in Rio de Janeiro.” Says Simone, while the bride sweetly shares, “Simone is a wonderful person. She’s always ready for what we asked for. She participated in all the meetings and followed everything from beginning to end. I loved having her in this very special moment.”
