How They Met
Vanneza Gonzalez and Mike Norris live in San Jose, California, USA, but they met in Guadalajara, Mexico for the first time. And according to Mike, he knew from that day that they would be together forever. Talk about romantic! This sweet couple decided to tie the knot on July 6, 2019, at the Saasil Kantenah, a private beach in Riviera Maya, Quintana Roo, México.
The Venue
Initially, Mike and Vanneza wanted an elegant wedding for a grand celebration. But from the moment they laid eyes on the Saasil Kantenah private beach, they instantly fell in love with the place. With beautiful palm trees, stunning white sand, and the turquoise color of the pristine Caribbean Sea, the venue was already decorated in its natural environment. The exuberant and mystic location of this private beach makes for an unforgettable experience for everyone present.
Decor
Wedding planner Leila and her team did a marvelous job elevating the stunning location into something more elegant with glamorous decor elements. The white and gold color theme perfectly contributed to the luxe and tropical setup. Mirror tables with white and gold details at the reception, a custom chandelier made of white slats and Christmas lights, and a hand-painted gold and white dance floor were some of the classy elements added to match the bride’s vision of a glam wedding.
The Wedding
On the day of arrival, guests were greeted with custom welcome bags filled with Mexican candies, a unique mezcal kit, the wedding program, and more. The main ceremony was no doubt, magical and emotional. Vanneza and Mike shared the moment with their friends and family, Mike’s cousin officiated the wedding, making it all the more special.
During the event, the guests enjoyed a cocktail party with the star couple, and a Mariachi band filled the atmosphere with their groovy Mexcian music. Incorporating more of the Mexican culture, cute and colorful bookmark place cards were used that had ‘Alebrijes’ designed on them. The menu also consisted of some delicious Mexican dishes bursting with flavor!
The Reception
Now that the couple was officially Mr. and Mrs., it was time to party! The custom dance floor was specially made for Vanneza, who loves to dance. A versatile band performed live music and everyone danced the night away. It was the perfect end to a beautiful day.
