Your Ultimate Wedding-Planning Timeline In 3 Months Or Sooner Post Covid

The time is not like before when you can plan your wedding a year in advance when everything starting from the venue to the food to the design can be planned well in advance without expecting any unexpected hitches like the lockdown or travel bans.

So if you have six months to plan a wedding, you may be in a slight panic because, surely, someone has mentioned that you need at least a year to organize it all. That’s not completely true. You can plan a wedding even at the last minute—it all comes down to flexibility. People have planned gorgeous weddings in much shorter periods. Here’s a rough breakdown of a recommended planning schedule when you have six months to plan a wedding.

3 months: Let’s start right. We know t’s difficult but not impossible. First thing first, finalize the venue. It’s quite possible that if the destination is open then you might be able to book your dream venue in a span of 3 months. We know, in the pre-Covid times, it was highly impossible. But at least, you can thank covid for this! 😉

Hire a wedding planner – If you do this, trust us, you will be much more relaxed and focused on your partner on the wedding day instead of worrying about how the guests are being handles or about the food table set up or myriad other things we have on the day. It may be the best option if you cannot dedicate time for wedding planning and especially now when the rules are changing frequently, the planner will help you out with the information regarding protocols and safety regulation that needs to be in place for a wedding.

2 months: Select your dress – Pull images from Pinterest and peruse magazines to narrow down style selections before ever setting foot in a store.

Book a celebrant. Check with your family or friends if they can for a quicker response. Mail your invitations. or option B- Go paperless (and save time) by using an online service. No matter which format you choose, just let it be known that this thing is happening. Quick.

Plan your honeymoon- Yes, often neglected during the wedding planning, the preplanning of the honeymoon will always put you at ease.

1 month: If you’re writing your own vows, get started. Book your hairstylist and makeup artist and go for a trial run with both. Attend your bachelorette party. Obtain your marriage license – Every state has different laws about procuring your marriage license, so be sure you’re up-to-date on your state’s legal requirements and timeframe. And most importantly, confirm all vendors and details if you haven’t already to make sure everyone is on the same page for your big day.

T-3 days: Get your facials done, finalize the seating chart. If time permits, go for a relaxing spa(because you deserve it.)

T-2 days: Get plenty of rest, attend your rehearsal, prepare a bridal emergency kit for your bridesmaid.

T-0 / It’s showtime, baby: Relax, breathe and just enjoy the day!

So this is it, you have made it. All of your planning paid off—you’re now officially married!
