Mini tacos, fritters, pinwheel pizzas, charcuterie cups, or any kind of finger food is, without a doubt, one of the best things about weddings. I mean, what’s a wedding without these little bites of happiness? (Besides the happiest day of the bride and groom, of course) These bite-sized appetizers and soup shots are the perfect amuse-bouche to start with, a fun ode to all the late-night snack trips to the kitchen that we’re sure most people relate to—definitely an amusing start to a great wedding feast.

Ice cream cookie biscuits and smores are great alternative dessert options if you don’t want to go the typical route for your sweet dishes. If you’re looking to replace your wedding cake, get creative with a tower of macaroons and donuts or even a fancy pretzel wall.

Having a fancy wedding does not stop you from incorporating this delicious greasy goodness. With Italian cuisine, bring the people’s favorite dishes to the table and have a grand old time. And if you want to set up a pizza station, the best part is getting to choose from a variety of toppings or going crazy and including them all onto your slices.

Calling all sushi lovers! This is a great idea that allows each of your guests to easily create their own favorite plate with fresh and light ingredients. Make sure to include options for your vegan and vegetarian guests as well so that nobody is left out from having a good time with these fancy rolls.

Indian Flavor Frenzy

An Indian menu gives a wider variety of vegetarian options, too, without compromising on taste and grandeur. A cuisine that bursts with flavor, it is a great idea if you love curries and spicy food. But you will need to keep in mind the preferences of all your guests, as not everyone would favor or be able to tolerate spice the same. Make sure to inform your caterer and have options that allow individuals to control the heat on their own plate.

A-Mezze-ing Mediterranean

A Mezze Platter is a traditional Mediterranean spread with multiple elements that complete the dish. It includes smaller dishes like hummus, tabbouleh, and dolmas and is typically shared between people at home (Mezze meaning ‘share’ in Arabic). This is especially great for a smaller-scale wedding but depending on the number of guests you invite, you can have your own Mezze Platter set up the way you like, increasing the quantity accordingly. Considering the current pandemic situation, it is perhaps not recommended that everyone share this dish, but here is where you and your caterer can get creative with your setup. Nevertheless, it is a great option for a unique menu that you’d not want to miss out on.
