Here’s congratulating this unique paradise for their win at the DWP ACE Awards! The Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa is located on the coast of pristine Silhouette Island in Seychelles. The sprawling property is a nature lover’s dream with its breath taking scenery and luxurious facilities. We spoke to Ms. Serena Di Fiore, the Cluster Event Manager for Hilton Seychelles and learnt about the acreage’s distinctive attributes that make it a desired destination wedding hotspot.
How does it feel to win this prestigious award?
The fact that so many people chose Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa as the best destination wedding property of the year for Africa, amongst so many other stunning properties within the region, feels like a dream! Undoubtedly, this award will elevate our resort to a higher level and will give us the chance to host several more magical weddings.
How was your experience at the luxurious Destination Wedding Planners Congress 2019 that took place in Dubai?
Being part of DWP 2019 was incredibly inspirational and motivating. Sharing the same room with so many innovative and experienced wedding masters; be it photographers, decorators or planners has inspired me to do more and to improve our offers at Hilton Seychelles and bring our weddings to an even higher level.
What motivates you to be so active within this dynamic wedding world?
The smile on couples’ faces is priceless! We are humbled and honored to be chosen by couples for such a special day. The most we can do is work to the best of our ability to ensure we exceed their expectations and that we deliver the dream wedding in paradise they have always envisioned. One’s wedding day is a memorable event, regardless of the location and all the frills around it but when you go the extra mile and see the couples’ tears of joy whilst they thank you during their speeches for your hard work and promise to return and visit you on their anniversary, it makes you feel like you are a part of something extraordinary.
Tell us about your overall journey and how you have achieved this milestone?
At Hilton Labriz we have worked extremely hard to ensure that each and every one of our wedding couples isn’t just happy, but ecstatic about their wedding journey. We believe in great hospitality, always adding a friendly approach to our professionalism and experience, and that is what grants us the trust of our wedding clientele. In 2018, more than 200 couples have said “I do!” at Hilton Labriz, and we could not be more grateful for the trust they have placed in us. We train ourselves, try to keep up with the pace of the destination wedding world, the trends and the growing digital footprint to ensure the couples get everything that they wish for. I believe that our dedication and passion for making people happy has led us to be awarded with the ‘Destination Wedding Property Of The Year’ for the African region at the DWP ACE Awards.
What do you do specifically to ensure an immersive destination experience for all your clients?
Being the only commercial venture located on Silhouette Island, we try and use the 93% natural reserve we are in, to provide unique, eco-friendly and Kreol experiences as much as possible. We have a variety of venues for weddings and receptions, from pristine beaches, to a historical 200-year-old plantation house, lush gardens, Jurassic-Park-like sceneries, etc. We maximize the beauty that mother nature has given us to create wedding experiences that are difficult to replicate! We offer local entertainment such as; ‘Moutia’ dance classes (a famous local dance form) alongside farm-to-fork food made with local produce at our meticulously organized nuptial ceremonies.
What are some unique attributes of your property that caters towards executing lavish weddings?
The scenic location of Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa is already a unique attribute! We have a stunning and lush backdrop that plays a massive role in any couples’ decision of picking us as their wedding destination. We at Hilton Labriz always aim to create unique experiences, to have a friendly yet professional approach towards our clients, anticipate their needs and offer a seamless and hassle-free wedding experience for the couples and their guests.

As a wedding planner you are there to inspire couples with ideas but mainly you are there to execute their vision and make their dreams come true. So, pay close attention to their viewpoints, be there for them night and day, strive to bring their vision to life and obviously, have fun while you do it!
