We spoke to Guadalupe Alvarez, the founder and creative talent behind Penzi Weddings about the company’s commitment to bringing all their client’s visions to life and their love for designing lavish revelries.
How does it feel to win this prestigious award?
It is such an honor and we just feel so happy, proud, excited and ecstatic to be the winner of this prestigious award. It feels amazing!
How was your experience at the luxurious Destination Wedding Planners Congress 2019 that took place in Dubai?
I love attending the DWP Congress because I see friends that teach me about our industry and are willing to share their experiences, their talent and the way they plan weddings in their country. I love that it is such a multicultural platform and that there are planners from all over the world from whom I love to learn from.
What motivates you to be so active within this dynamic wedding world?
The scope of learning, learning and learning from very different and cultures and diverse backgrounds.
Tell us about your overall journey and how you have achieved this milestone?
We have been in business for 13 years, we are from a small town in the center of Mexico San Miguel de Allende and we love to make our couples happy and always pay attention to everything they want and require. We started as a small firm with only 2 of us and now we are 50 employees, we plan approximately 85 weddings a year (each year being different) and we really enjoy the creative part of the planning as well as satisfying all our couples and guests and making sure they are very happy with everything we do.
Please provide a word of inspiration for the new, upcoming set of individuals who strive to follow in your footsteps and make it big in the wedding industry?

According to you, what are some of the best weddings you have planned till date and how have they shaped your incredible career pathway?
I believe that each wedding is unique as each couple, but one of our favorites is Esmeralde and Price Royce because she is always so gracious. We have learned to work with couples from different parts of the world, nationalities and religious backgrounds. Each couple shapes us into learning how to make them happy and be the best at what we do.
