The last four days were nothing short of what I’d like to call, ‘STUPENDOUS!’ Paris Fashion Week 2020 SS Haute Couture is getting over today. In the last 4 days, we saw some marvelous work of art from the world’s finest fashion designers. 2020 is going to be all about exploring the untapped and creating something the world has never seen before. This Lebanon designer unveiled his latest couture collection in Paris. For spring/summer 2020, Elie Saab had his sights set on Mexico. The dazzling collection featured shades of white, cream and blush, with intricate gold detailing, while structured shoulders added a certain strength to otherwise romantic evening gowns.

For this collection, Iris van Herpen drew inspiration from our central nervous system in microscopic detailing, mirrored with the fibrous marine ecology of our oceans. It is called ‘Sensory Seas.’

From floor-skimming dresses in deep gold to jewel-dotted two-pieces that took inspiration from the silhouettes of the ancient kingdoms, pieces blended both romantic feminism and a contemporary sensibility. The collection was also punctuated with shades of soft blushes, azure and crimson, using rich brocards, silk tulles, duchess satins, and glittering Lurex.
Ziad Nakad

This collection continues to celebrate the modern female and is abundant with sumptuous draping, embroidered lace-up detailing, star beads, xilions, and crystals. The collection takes inspiration from the brand archive and simultaneously re-imagines each piece with contemporary flair.

Dior collection was inspired by Egyptian goddesses, such as Athena. Her majestic allure is a neo-platonic allegory of beauty, combining intellectual strength and aesthetic harmony. The collection’s key motifs — wholesome, golden ears of wheat — recall the unstoppable creative force of women.
Georges Hobeika

Hobeika took cues from “the glistening beaches of Sardinia” for the collection, sending out models decked in sherbet pastels, fluid chiffons, and froths of feathers.

Bridal-worthy confections of white, complete with romantic veils, were abundant, while punchy chartreuse, coral and dreamy oceanic blue peppered the line with a certain vibrancy.
