The DWP Congress 2021 was different and how! From being the biggest reunion of the wedding industry after the pandemic to celebrating love and connections in a whole different way, we all have managed to thrive and collectively tackle the challenges of the wedding industry. As a platform that aims to unite the wedding experts from 70+ countries, DWP Congress has become one of the most-awaited events in the wedding industry. From Tourism Boards to DMCs to luxury hotels and incredible wedding suppliers, the sheer thrill to meet everybody at the ultra-chic Mitsis Alila Resort & Spa was beyond words. It was a time to learn, unlearn, do business and most importantly, share their hearts with each other!

The Thrill To Explore A New Destination & Have A Destination Wedding Is Bigger Than Ever
Every year, with DWP, we try to explore a destination that has the potential to attract wedding tourism. A destination that has everything you need to have a dream wedding. From breathtaking backdrops be it beach or mountains or snow to luxury 5-star properties to planning services and vendor supplies; DWP consistently explores the potential of these destinations to tap into the $300 million wedding market. This year, we headed to Rhodes. From its ancient and medieval architecture to modern hospitality, the most pleasant weather, and endless unmatchable views, there is a lot you have yet to see that this spectacular island can offer.
No Matter How Much Technology Has Taken Over The World, We Still Crave That Human Touch
Boy, we all partied like never before! Like, it was the first one in ages! Yes, it’s the time when we have Zoom weddings and Livestream, but the sheer joy of hugging, kissing and expressing the emotions face to face is irreplaceable. The gathering of 350+ wedding connoisseurs from 40 different countries is a perfect example of that!
Weddings Shall Continue To Grow In Newer Ways
Let’s get this thing straight! Weddings are not going anywhere. It’s just evolving. Our expert speakers discussed the ways about how the couple’s expectations are changing along with newer trends coming up from planners and suppliers. Focusing on navigating the current times, they discussed “The Future Of Weddings” along with exploring key areas in pricing, wedding tourism and in the end, building a larger wedding community together!

In these eco-conscious times we live in, now more than ever, couples are looking at ways to host responsibly. This means cutting back on unnecessary waste and trying to be as eco-friendly as possible. The DWP Congress 2021 revolved around showcasing this trend by putting nature at the heart of our conference. From the marquee set up by Organic-Concept and wooden furniture by Zazoo Event Rentals, to Vegan Leather Notebooks by Cartalia Wedding Stationery, it’s all about giving it back to Mother Nature.
