Additionally, The Barcelona Turisme Weddings’ forward plan is to present and promote Barcelona as a quintessential wedding destination. So, as well as attending various B2B events, like the DWP Congress, to introduce this new program, the focal aim is to increase the demand for destination weddings. Tubau retiterates, “For us it is incredibly important to promote the active presence of Barcelona at the destination weddings market in an attempt to co-ordinate with the interested sectors in fostering tourism and weddings. Boosting the wedding sector in areas relating to the accommodation, gastronomy, local wedding planners, local wedding suppliers and other cultural and leisure activities also plays a pivotal role in our development”.
Essentially, Barcelona Turisme Weddings is a specialized Turisme de Barcelona programme designed to endorse the city as a viable destination for weddings as well as offering free neutral advisory services, for planners interested in organizing luxury weddings and in-depth knowledge of this splendid city.
