The spectacular wedding ceremony took place at Castiglion del Bosco in Tuscany with a close-knit group of 120 guests. The guest list included several sports stars including the reigning champion, Serena Williams who fulfilled her duties as a bridesmaid at the momentous occasion.

According to the world-renowned designer Oscar De La Renta, Caroline opted for a timeless fern and floral lace embroidered gown with a classic cathedral length tulle veil for her ceremony. She walked down a 262-foot long aisle in the center of Castiglion del Bosco’s town square in this custom made, ethereal ensemble.

Ahead of the dreamy wedding, Caroline expressed her feelings on how her parents have always been the perfect role models anyone could ever ask for and how she aspires to follow in their footsteps as she begins a new journey in her life. “My parents taught me everything I know and supported me through my whole career. I love that they’re athletes who have been happily married for over 30 years—and they’ve raised good kids. Looking to the future for me, I hope to be known as not only an athlete but, once I have a family, also as someone who raised her kids to be good people. That would be amazing.”
