Some Love Stories Are Written In The Stars: Uncover This Thai-Hawaiian Couple’s Serendipity in Bangkok Brought Together By The Wedding Bliss Thailand

It is a common belief that some fortunate couples are destined to cross paths with their soulmates in a single encounter, while others may need multiple interactions and experiences to find their beloved. Tiare and Max exemplify the latter belief.

Tiare and Max went to the same school from kindergarten to grade 12 but remained distant friends. They did not know each other closely until after their graduation. After graduating from High School in 2011, Max went to Cornell in upstate New York and Tiare went to college in Pennsylvania and Oregon. After completing college in 2015, Tiare moved back to Hawaii looking for a job, and Max moved to Hawaii in 2018 to take care of his father. At that point in time, he had no plans to settle down there and planned to move out of the country after his father recovered. But fate had other plans and they met at a Red Bull Event in 2019.  They both were thrilled to connect with an old friend from school. They kept in touch and kept meeting each other to finally falling in love and happily ever after!

With that, we welcome you to their breathtaking wedding that took place in Bangkok on 15th April 2023, beautifully curated by our DWP Insider Premium Member The Wedding Bliss Thailand.

Food: The Language Of Love

Their shared passion for Asian food and culture led the bride and the groom to find the perfect wedding venue that not only offered delectable food but also stood at the heart of the city. After visiting and having a delightfully memorable food-tasting experience, they unanimously chose the Nai Lert Park Heritage Home as the wedding venue. It’s an absolute win-win situation, given the easy-to-choose from their delectable menu to their picture-perfect settings. The service too, is out-of-the-world, and hospitality rated the highest amongst the guests who attended the wedding!

The Ceremony

Nestled amidst the bustling city of Bangkok, the tranquil haven of Park Nai Lert set the stage for Tiare and Max’s enchanting wedding festivities. Drawing inspiration from the rose-scented gardens of France and England, the wedding decor exuded a romantic ambiance. With lush greenery teamed with white flowers and a picturesque curved mirror walkway for the bride, the perfect setting for the ceremony was curated by the team of experts at The Wedding Bliss Thailand. Elegant white Chiavari chairs with cute hand fans and lovely cones filled with petals hanging from the chairs added a touch of whimsical romance.

Following “Thai” Way To Their Guests’ Hearts

With the guests coming in from both the US and Thailand, Tiare and Max were eager to share their delightful experiences with Thai cuisine and had exceptional services in place, to cater to their guests’ every need. After the Western Ceremony, arrangements were made to set up live stations of Roti and Thai Tea. Along with these delicacies, the guests were also treated to Grilled Pork with sticky rice and stir-fried Noodles with Chicken. We love the traditional touch to this modern Thai wedding!

All The Fun With Games On The Run

What’s a wedding without some fun games? Since the groom, Max is fond of playing games, the wedding featured a game corner. Called the ‘Mochi’s Wheel Of Pain’ this entertaining game offers guests the chance to win exciting cash prizes and an onsen spa voucher. To add an element of surprise and excitement the game also comes with a punishment- having a bite of scorpions and bugs. And of course, how can you have a Thai wedding without a spa experience? The cute setup of Thai massage made the perfect way to have a relaxing and fun day!

It’s Time To Wine And Dine

After the exquisite Western ceremony, the wedding was moved to the Glass House, a breathtaking space featuring a modern combination of glass and metal where the guests were treated to a gorgeous Thai Set Dinner that was arranged by the Nai Lert Park Team. It featured exquisite decor and lighting, creating a dreamy atmosphere fit for a fairytale wedding. Aiming to elevate and lighten the setting, the team played with the light sources, adding rows of fairy lights and gigantic floral chandeliers — together forming a cathedral-like geometry for the space.

And When It’s Time For The First Dance

For the first dance, the bride showcased her dancing skills, and together with the groom, crafted a charming dance routine. They added a unique twist to their performance that delighted everyone. Following the magical dance, the bride changed her outfit and was seen wearing a Thai dress with a Hawaiian-style garland. She re-entered the dining area, radiating tropical vibes, and began dancing to a lively Hawaiian song, which was thoughtfully put together and sung by their friends. As the first song came to an end, the wedding reached one of its most emotional moments- The father-daughter dance.

So what is your responsibility towards this amazing thing called, “Destiny”? Well, you make it your own, because when you add the unique and rare element of “you” into your big day, nothing can eclipse it. So, we urge you to savor Max and Tiare’s journey take a leaf out of their wonderful story, and imbibe the spirit of destiny into your own unforgettable story.
