Meet Zillah Chilowa, Lead Event Planner of Tangerine Co from Zimbabwe who is the Event Designing & Planning Partner for the Congress. Tangerine Co has been at the forefront of event planning and design in Zimbabwe since 2006, specializing in creating unforgettable weddings and events. Consider the taste and interests of those hosting the event as well as the guests to create an experience that resonates with them.
2. Clarify Purpose & Goals
As an event planner you need to understand the purpose for the event and what you hope to achieve. This will direct all your decisions throughout the planning process.
3. Attention To Detail
It is very important to pay very close attention to every aspect of the event, from the venue decor to the catering, to create a cohesive and memorable experience for guests. Always look for innovative ways to give your client and guests the best event experience.
4. Budget Management
Make sure realistic budgets are set and funds are allocated wisely to ensure all aspects of the event are covered without overspending or coming short.
5. Communication & Coordination
As a planner it is very important to keep clear communication with all those involved in the event planning process, i.e. your service providers to ensure you are all on the same page and working towards a successful event, that will get your client to refer you to other clients as well as give you repeat business.
