The impeccable 6th annual Dubai Wedding Summit took place on the 9th of October 2019 at the magnificent Address Sky View, Dubai. The day long affair included incredible learnings from several connoisseurs that are prominent names within the wedding industry, across the globe. After a short introduction by Nikki Rutherford from Weddingsonline UAE, the floor opened up to various formative sessions curated for the day.
Rahul Kumar of Vivaah Weddings dished out some exclusive, behind the scenes details of the first ever Indian wedding held at Disneyland Paris. He spoke at length about the extensive 240+ hours of planning, over 700+ hours of meeting time and multiple 11th hour changes that took place during the wedding planning procedure. Despite the challenges and hurdles that came their way, the team at Vivaah Weddings ensured that the magic finally unfolded for their bride and groom at Disneyland Paris.
An award-winning marketer with extensive experience working with both multinationals and SMEs, Maya Itani of Itani and Company conducted a session on building a brand that builds your business followed by a delectable lunch with stylings from the soulful songstress, Jin Flora.
Celebrity stylist and business mentor, Kelly Lundberg provided some expert tips on improving your social media content to drive sales. Whereas, Jonathan Bryans of Weddingsonline Ireland spoke about the traditional bridal customer journey. The prize distribution and closing ceremony was preceded by an interesting industry panel discussion and Q&A session on weddings versus corporate events and how to cater to both, featuring Adonia D’Souza of Flair Event Services, Emma Pope of Emaar Hospitality Group, Hannah Matthews of Couture Events and Melon Perez of The MelRish Studio.
The evening concluded with drinks at the viewing deck at Palace Downtown where the guests enjoyed a spectacular, melodious performance by the Supernovas and breathtaking views of the dazzling dreamscapes that Dubai has to offer.
