The incredible team of 5 Events have organized over 175 weddings last year, with 104 ceremonies in Greece, 35 nuptials in Italy and 13 weddings in Portugal, amongst others. We had a chat with Lidia Wandas, the Owner of 5 Events who spoke about the company’s establishment and magical weddings they have planned over the years.
How does it feel to win this prestigious award?
I feel extremely honored to receive this amazing award. It is a great reward for the whole team. Being a worldwide phenomenon, the DWP ACE Awards have been voted for by people across the globe and that makes it even more special and valuable. This award is what we are about- #LOVE #WORLD #WEDDINGS
How was your experience at the luxurious Destination Wedding Planners Congress 2019 that took place in Dubai?
I had the pleasure to be a part of the DWP Congress for the 4th time. Every Congress brings something new and fresh. Those 3 days were very inspiring. It brought me to another world, not only because of the destination where the Congress took place, but because of atmosphere which surrounded us during the event.
What motivates you to be so active within this dynamic wedding world?
My restless soul loves to be on the move. To be a part of a dynamically changing world, we need to be both constantly creative and curious about all the happenings around us, just like children are. Apart from this, the knowledge and continuous education as well as exchanging experiences with the various connoisseurs of the wedding world are vital to such important developments.
Tell us about your overall journey and how you have achieved this milestone?
From my point of view, all achievements are based first of all on hard work, believing in what you do, your patients level along with good luck. On top of this there are people who we meet: our clients, great team, collaborators and our families who support us and believe in what we do.
Please provide a word of inspiration for the new, upcoming set of individuals who strive to follow in your footsteps and make it big in the wedding industry?
Believe in yourself and work hard but also listen to what world tells you!
According to you, what are some of the best weddings you have planned till date and how have they shaped your incredible career pathway?
All the best weddings we have planned have been because of the trust of all our clients. With respect to what they love and require along with their open-mindedness, we could create not only a tailor-made romantic occasions but events which, according to their valuable opinions, exceeded their expectations! Overall, it has been a fantastic journey filled with excitement.
