An industry veteran in The Americas, Roberto Cohen has been planning bespoke weddings across the world including several exotic destinations such as; Brazil, Italy, South Africa, Argentina, Miami, amongst others. We spoke to him regarding the company’s 32-year legacy and his repertoire as one of the best wedding planners in his country who has organized more than 3,500 luxury events.
How does it feel to win this prestigious award?
It is a great honor to be recognized amongst so many powerful professionals of our industry, it genuinely feels like an ‘Oscar’ award for my country and me!
How has your experience been with the Destination Wedding Planners Congress?
This Congress is a “must attend” for every professional that has reached or wants to reach the most incredible network within this profession. It is absolutely incredible how it improves each year.
What motivates you to be so active within this dynamic wedding world?
The search for excellence along with the search for new experiences for my clients and me. This is what motivates me to constantly move forward within this vibrant wedding industry.
Tell us about your overall journey and how you have achieved this milestone?
I always say that; “the obvious doesn’t surprise me!” I am always looking for something new, for something that has never been done, something extraordinary!
According to you, what are some of the best weddings you have planned till date and how have they shaped your incredible pathway?
The most difficult weddings are the ones that make me break my limits. When you succeed in breaking your limits, you know you are on the right pathway.
Please provide a word of inspiration for the new, upcoming set of individuals who strive to follow in your footsteps and make it big in the wedding industry?
Never look behind, never look to your side, always look ahead! Networking is the key to success in our diverse industry so keep on trying to anticipate everyone’s needs and fulfill their requirements.
