Keeping traditions alive and British customs at its core, the couple opted for a lemon elderflower masterpiece, created by London-based baker Claire Ptak (owner of Violet Cakes) along with her uber talented team. The luxurious dessert exuded great panache through this custom made elegant creation.

Bollywood superstar Priyanka Chopra and Internationally acclaimed musical sensation Nick Jonas recently got engaged in a close-knit affair in Mumbai, India. The multicultural pair chose a metallic gold foliage cake decorated with delicate flowers and a custom 3D printed topper. Customised by Bunty Mahajan of Deliciae Cakes fame, the cake was embellished with a snazzy 24k gold leaf plating. The addition of the personalized 3D topper was a testament to the chef’s exceptional vision which gave the delicious dessert a unique touch. The three-tiered cake was a decadent Belgian chocolate gourmet creation.

Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco and her equestrian boyfriend Karl Cook, got hitched at a horse stable in San Diego, California. Their glamorous New Year’s Eve ranch nuptials were absolutely magical. This gorgeous showstopper of a cake was put together by Kimberly Bailey of The Butter End Cakery. Creating an OTT, upside-down cake bejewelled with rhinestones, held up by a chandelier can be a daunting task for many. Yet the talented Kimberly Bailey executed this masterpiece perfectly! Draped in white rolled chocolate fondant, the layers were a combination of chocolate almond cherry cake with a cherry cream-cheese buttercream icing. The taste was enhanced owing to the almond cake base with a generous helping of the toasted almond cream-cheese buttercream frosting.

Beauty mogul Kat Von D’s marriage to musician Rafael Reyes was a star-studded gothic affair. The towering castle wedding cake designed by Joanie & Leigh’s Cakes was vegan, red velvet and covered in red fondant to symbolise auspiciousness. It even included a video projection of the pair on the cake instead of a traditional bride and groom topper. The video showcased the couple acknowledging and waving to their guests animatedly. The opulent gold detailing illustrated on the cake gave it a lavish appearance.

The highly acclaimed Hollywood actress Hilary Swank tied the knot with entrepreneur Philip Schneider in a breathtaking ceremony amongst the California redwoods at the Santa Lucia Preserve. Their exclusive confectionary creation was baked by their common friend from Mexico City, Marcela Pezet. It was a delectable vegan, gluten-free naked chocolate cake layered with vanilla buttercream frosting and enveloped in floral arrangements.

India’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani’s son, Akash Ambani got engaged to his childhood sweetheart Shloka Mehta in big bash at their well renowned Mumbai residence, Antila. The grand six-tiered cake custom designed by patisserie chef Bunty Mahajan was a regal cake covered in white fondant accentuated by chromatic gold embroidery and intricate detailing. Adorned with white and peach flowers, the cake was placed on a floral cake stand and had the initials of Akash and Shloka embellished on it.
