Beer Industry Is Helping Couples To Fight COVID-19

“Something old, something new, something borrowed, something brewed!”  -Beer-Loving Brides and Grooms

Coronavirus might have impacted your wedding plans, but life will seem normal after a glass of beer (or 10). It’s the beer companies who have stepped in to enlighten your day and help you believe in love all over again. Well-known brands like Miller High Life and Busch are offering free weddings and plenty of beer to engaged couples affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Whether you postponed your wedding celebration, are planning a ceremony online, or finding another creative way to tie the knot, the beer industry wants to be a part of your special day. And their generosity isn’t about drowning your sorrows in beer—in fact, it’s quite the opposite. They want to help couples make the most of an unfortunate and frankly, they are the heroes engaged couples didn’t know they needed—or expected—right now. It’s time to raise a toast with your partner to this wonderful news! Cheers. #inittogether

Weddings are looking a little different so far in 2020. As part of their “Wedding at Your Doorstep” promotion, the iconic beer company is going to give three couples a chance to tie the knot, sending an officiant and photographer to facilitate and capture the ceremony (while maintaining safe social distance, of course), along with $10,000 to go toward canceled wedding costs, a honeymoon fund so you can travel once it’s safe again, and of course, beer.

The Anheuser-Busch InBev–owned label is offering a free year’s supply of beer for couples who have had to put their wedding plans on the ice this year as the coronavirus outbreak has temporarily shuttered all nonessential businesses and grounded most travel. Couples must post a photo of themselves on Facebook or Instagram or Twitter and explain how they’re altering their nuptials with the hashtag #BuschWeddingGift and #Sweepstakes through 1 May 2020. Some 250 couples will be picked in a random drawing and gifted a $300 debit card that they can use to buy two cases of Busch beers per month for one year. (12-packs of Busch Cans retail at $8.99 at Target. The St. Louis-based brewer is just the latest brand to find a marketing opportunity during the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdown where people have been told to remain six feet apart to avoid transmission.

Isn’t it wonderful to see these communities coming out and helping each other in all possible ways! So once again, cheers to love and celebrations. We shall overcome this soon!
