Fresh off the press office from Buckingham Palace, the royal family proudly announced the engagement of Princess Eugenie to long-term boyfriend Jack Brooksbank. The Duke and Duchess of York reveal in the statement that their younger daughter and the 32 year old London based nightclub manager, became engaged while in Nicaragua earlier this month and are set to tie the knot later this year. Princess Eugenie, 27, is the second daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, and is eighth in line to the throne and will be marrying her boyfriend of seven years at the same place as her cousin Prince Harry, the St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
The reaction to the engagement has been a flood of congratulatory tweets and insta posts. In a series of tweets, Sarah Ferguson congratulated her daughter and her fiancé. She said the couple “float with laughter and love” and the announcement was “total joy!”. “We love Jack and I am so excited to have a son, a brother and a best friend,” the duchess added. “Eugenie is one of the finest people I know and so together it will be pure harmony.”
