All The Bridal Inspiration From Dior’s Latest Sensational Fall ’23 Show In Mumbai, India

One of the most emblematic couture houses in the world, Dior brought the international fashion community to the colorful shores of Mumbai, a city where the ancient collides with the contemporary; street food vendors and skyscrapers sit alongside Victorian gothic architecture and minarets along the coastal skyline. Set against the backdrop of the iconic Gateway of India, the French fashion brand celebrated the richness of Indian textiles and the show itself marked the first official calendar display by a prominent European luxury brand in India.

For the first-of-its-kind Dior fashion show at the Gateway of India, the ramp looked like a kaleidoscope of colors, as it was lined with fresh flowers like marigolds and sholapith, sealed under glass. Injecting more Indian flavors into the vibe of the showcase, models walked the catwalk in Dior’s current artistic director, Maria Grazia Chiuri’s collection. We cannot help but derive bridal inspiration from such a stunning, colorful and inspirational walk. Scroll below if you are looking for some idiosyncratic guest wear ideas for your loved one’s wedding!

Chic Skirts

The collection opened with black saree-draped skirts, open at the side, worn with blousy kurta-style shirts, and progressed into vibrant silk dresses and bandeaus woven in the southern state of Tamil Nadu.

Pants

Geometric shapes framed in gold silver sequins and strass; bewitching decorative motifs come forth in this kaleidoscope of colors on the silk of pajamas, blouses and dresses. The revisited toile de Jouy stands out in a vaporous palette of green, much like a camouflage magnified by elements of Indian landscapes populated by talismanic animals dear to this plural civilization.

Two-peice

Inspired by Indian lehenga styles, these delicate two pieces are worth the hype! When it comes to Indian weddings, lehengas are definitely everybody’s choice throughout the year. Dior added a touch of whimsy and modernity to the contemporary style taking the style a notch higher.

Eccentric Wear

Since its foundation, Dior has been fascinated and influenced by the cut and construction of clothing from all over the world. In 1954, for example, Monsieur Dior drew from a close study of sari draping and the #DiorFall23, reprising the folds and asymmetries to swathe the female form with dresses that sweep sinuously from the shoulder and skirts with a wrap-front effect and distinctive tie detail at the hip.

Whites

Whites always have that classic feeling that no matter how much you try to escape, you just cannot! These all-seasonal white dresses by Dior showcase elegance in the form of floaty and feminine silhouettes. These floor-length gowns will look chic as a cocktail dress or during the reception.
