All Out For All-White? Here’s What You Need To Consider About This Classic Theme For Your Wedding

Possessing all the chicness, class, and elegance, an all-white wedding setup is dreamt of by many couples around the globe. Loved by celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian and Alan Ferguson; the trend never gets old. Although, there are certain factors that need to be considered if you are all yes about an all-white theme. But, when it’s done well, the monochrome result is absolutely magical. An all-white wedding is a chameleon of wedding aesthetics—it can be classic, modern, chic, traditional, and, ultimately, all yours.

Admittedly, pulling off an all-white wedding is quite the undertaking. But, how do you keep an all-white theme from being bland or one-dimensional? Consider adding some depth to your all-white bouquets and flowers by mixing in greenery or shades of ivory to make the white really stand out.

Let’s admit it everybody will be wearing white so if you’re a person who wants to really stand out in your wedding dress, this may not be for you. Your bridesmaid, family, friends and yourself; all will be wearing white. In order to differentiate, you can decide on the dress code in advance and communicate the same to all your guests. For example, if your wedding gown is long, your bridesmaid can wear a short white dress.

The main focus of the wedding photography along with getting gorgeous shots of you both is the details of the decor. With all-white, these details might look all the same in wedding photography. Talk to your photographer about the theme beforehand and ensure that they are aware so they can prepare beforehand about various angles to capture the details.

This one’s a catch! You don’t want your decor to get sabotaged by colors that can easily dominate white. Especially from a catering perspective, you need to ensure that there are no saucy foods being served that can be disastrous to the guests’ dress and the decor. Making it look finesse and clean throughout is utterly important.  Here is an extra tip- when deciding on the cake go for intricately detailed ruffles, florals, or rough frostings. Colorless wedding cakes can beautifully make a statement.

The Venue Has To Match

An all-white theme might not work out if your venue is not cooperating. If the walls are bright red or blue, the venue might overshadow your decor. It’s safe to choose a venue that is in the shade of white that goes with the overall theme to accentuate and play along the details. Dress up your ceremony venue with covered chairs and a white red carpet to look extra dreamy as you walk along that aisle.
