Bridal Inspiration From Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda Show 2020

History, beauty, and art, paired exquisitely together – in the most stunning surroundings took our breath away on the night of September 3rd, 2020 when Dolce & Gabbana presented a breathtaking collection of 89 runway looks, which saw the models walk down the long stone staircase, showcasing pieces which were designed as a tribute to Florence.

Every summer since its inception in 2012 Dolce & Gabbana’s couture Alta Moda collections have swooned us off our feet igniting the flames of Italian love. Hosting their first big live event after the coronavirus pandemic, this duo united the fashion industry connoisseurs and hosted the Alta Moda fashion show at Villa Bardini. The venue, with its infinite staircases, monumental garden and panorama of Florence created a stunning ambiance for this high-end event.

“The inspiration came from the Sixteenth century and the Italian Renaissance,” designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana said in a press release. “In this historical period, the tailors – and especially the Florentine artisans – created clothes and accessories with what they had in their workshops (the so called botteghe), mixing different materials through the lens of their great creativity. By using and combining elements and materials such as natural or coloured raffia, corals and hard stones, they gave birth to the concept of Arte Povera (Poor Art).”

Bring out the renaissance queen on your wedding day by taking inspiration from these bridal looks.
