Keeping Up With The Yoruba Culture
We are absolutely in love with this South American- Nigerian Wedding, infused with the rich intricacies of the Yoruba Culture. The bride Brittney took a special interest in getting to know the culture, as well as embracing its beauty. As the Yoruba Culture, typically demands, this beautiful and soulful union featured some of the most sacred and pure rituals. One of them is the Idobale! This tradition involves a male person prostrating before an elderly individual as a sign of respect or homage to a superior authority. When a young person prostrates and greets the elder; it is seen as a sign that he is ‘well-trained’ in showing etiquette and respect.
The All White Decor
Step into a whimsical white realm this wedding season at the Five Palm, where the essence of purity and beauty envelops every element in white. Picture-perfect white florals cascade around you, while delicate white umbrellas adorn the venue, creating an enchanting ambiance for you to celebrate the wedding of your dreams. Embrace every moment of your special day as you indulge in the serene elegance of this ethereal setting, ensuring that each second counts in creating unforgettable memories.
Embracing The Igbo Tradition
Toya and Cam’s wedding has left us thoroughly inspired by the idea of evergreen, childhood love stories. They met in school and even though there was an attraction they agreed to be just friends, their love story finally reached its pinnacle in a colourful Igbo traditional wedding. The main highlight of this ceremony is the Igba Nkwu or the wine-carrying ceremony. According to this custom, the bride is supposed to find her beloved among a crowd of men with a cup of palm wine. Dancing joyfully, as the bride scans the room she is distracted by other guests to add a little fun to the occasion. Upon finding her future husband, she kneels down before him offering the wine. He must then drink it all, denoting that he is indeed her groom. They then seek the blessings of elders, followed by an outfit change and more joy and celebration.
Against A Backdrop Of Gorgeous Florals
This wedding season proclaim your love for each other in an enchanted land with some of the most exquisite florals posing as your backdrop and let your love story come to fruition just like Veekee and Femi’s magical celebration. Paint your wedding canvas with these exquisite blooms, that rejoice at the very sight of your nuptials where your beautiful souls intertwine and become one. Embrace the magic of this moment as you two prepare to embark on a journey of a lifetime and embrace your fairy tale happily ever after!
When France & Nigeria Become One
Under the enchanting skies of Château de Villette, we could not help but celebrate every moment of Tierra and Bo’s love story planned by Kesh Events! While this breathtaking wedding was completely infused with romance and swooning views of the venue, it also had a traditional twist to it, with the planners incorporating traditional Nigerian customs as a part of Bo’s culture. To honour Nigerian culture and traditions, the couple got Kesh Events to source a Nigerian Caterer, DJ, stylist, and other vendors. And that’s not all they also honoured Nigerian cuisine, by serving their guests jollof rice and moi moi alongside traditional French dishes. What a beautiful fusion of two cultures! We are truly amazed! Tierra and Bo’s big ended with a bang as the duo dressed in traditional Nigerian attire and held a spray dance ceremony thereby creating a treasure chest of memories that shall remain alive in their hearts for years to come!
Where The Magic Of Nigeria & Tanzania Intertwine
Nigerian Weddings are indeed beautiful! But what happens when there is a blend of two cultures? That’s right! We could not help but fall in love with this enchanting union where Nigerian beauty, Chidi fell in love with Mow from Tanzania! Dressed in white, their wedding was indeed a burst of colours with their bridesmaids dressed in green and gold. The bride’s second outfit is what drew our attention. Draped in the rich hues of orange and adorned with gold intricate work, Chidi and Mow’s nuptials were nothing but fun and frolic that resonated with the cultures of the couple.
Welcome To A Frosty Wonderland
Are you envisioning a winter wedding that feels straight out of a fairy tale? Brace yourself, because your fantasies are on the brink of becoming reality, just like Brittney’s! Prepare to be enchanted as we set up a realm of wonders where the icy embrace of winter sets the stage for a dreamy celebration like no other. Let the frosty air weave its magic, transforming each moment of your special day into a memory to cherish forever. With a touch of enchantment, your winter wedding will not only be a celebration but a manifestation of your deepest dreams.
Embrace Rich Red Hues In The Garden Of Wonders
This wedding season embrace vibrancy as you drape yourself in the rich hues of a dazzling red gown in a breathtakingly beautiful outdoor wedding just like Desmond and Ifeoma’s wedding organised by Zapphaire Events. The wedding featured both traditional and modern styles, creating a unique and captivating atmosphere for guests. The ceremony featured the gorgeous bride, Ifeoma in two ravishing red outfits, after she had to look her best and steal the show as she looked for her beloved Desmond in the traditional Igbo way!
A Three-Part Destination Wedding
Another wedding, we could not help but include in this gorgeous list of culturally rich weddings, is Henry Beedie and Dorcas Etim’s three-part destination wedding, which took place in Nigeria, Brampton, and Mexico. For the Nigerian Wedding, the couple wore traditional attire, that represented their tribe, the Efik people. The bride, Dorcas wore an Onyonyo ball gown and the groom, Henry wore a beaded cap, waistcoat, and shoes, adding colour and vibrancy to their special day! For the ceremony in Brampton, Henry and Dorcas had an intimate ceremony with six friends. For this beautiful and elegant wedding, Dorcas wore a sparkly satin dress with a sweetheart neckline and the handsome groom wore a white tux with black lapels. They finally held a lavish destination wedding in Mexico with all their close friends and family.
Draped In The Hues Of Peach & Purple
On your special day, let the rich hues of purple and peach surround you as you and your partner seal your love and commitment for each other, reminiscent of Oyinda and David’s wedding by Zapphaire Events. For the wedding, the couple rocked in a gorgeous Delta outfit that exuded royalty and elegance. This was followed by an outfit change that witnessed them dressed in rich hues of purple. Looking at the visuals we can’t help but fall in love with the fun and sweet moments that the two share!
So, we hope these weddings have left you inspired for your wedding day! May each second of your wedding be filled with happiness and vibrancy as you paint your wedding canvas with these vibrant hues and shine as the most beautiful and ravishing couple on your special day making each moment linger in your hearts forever!
