Indian + Jamaican Fusion Wedding

We talked to multiple wedding planners and after speaking with Minoti, there was no question she was the right fit to deliver on our fusion wedding. Minoti went above and beyond to ensure we honored our Indian and Jamaican cultures / traditions seamlessly, found incredible vendors to make our dream wedding come to life, and was always available to talk wedding or catch up. As our vision evolved, Minoti was very flexible in taking on additional coordination to ensure all of our events went off without a hitch. In all, she planned and coordinated our wedding (two back-to-back ceremonies plus cocktails and reception) and helped sort out logistics for events over the entire weekend. Our guests were so impressed with how organized entire event was - from receiving our invitations to attending our wedding to receiving our thank you cards. Throughout the planning process, Minoti was a calming force and always incredibly genuine in her support and encouragement. We partnered with Minoti on the full wedding planning package (so as a planner and not a coordinator) for my twin sisters fairytale wedding. From the get go, she was transparent about her services and come up with a complete workbook about each little detail that had to come together to ensure a perfect day for my sister. She was incredibly professional, and yet humble, supportive, and bubbly, often being the corralling force that kept my family in high spirits before the wedding. When my family was all out of ideas, she would introduce options to get our brain juices flowing again, and always patiently helped guide us through the important decision moments so that we made decisions on time. Minoti knows the best vendors in the Bay Area and connected us with phenomenal recommendations for DJ, lights, decor, mehendi, etc, all of whom came together perfectly on the day of to create an incredible jaw-dropping setting at Wente Vineyards. She is the perfect communicator, interfacing between her client and the vendors to bring everything together, negotiate contracts to reach a price point everyone is comfortable with, and ensure everyone is clear about the timeline and how their piece fits into the big picture. This is absolutely crucial to be a successful wedding planner and Minoti greatly understands the communication aspect. We always received prompt responses to our queries, while respecting Minoti's own work hours and personal time, which I think is important for every client to do :). Minoti attended every important meeting with us at Wente (menu tastings, walkthroughs etc), often offering advice to conquer points we would have never thought of (like which dishes guests might prefer based on the sorts of social gatherings they typically attend ) - she knows her industry to a T! On the day of, all of the vendors magically knew exactly what to do and where to be. It was honestly amazing to take in. But it wasn't magic, it was Minoti and her team working tirelessly in the background like little angels. The setting was just GORGEOUS - my sisters dream of how she envisioned her wedding to look became complete reality. And every stage happened on time. I still have guests reaching out to me (a few months later even!) to compliment Minoti and all of the vendors on the incredible wedding they attended. I would recommend Minoti and Vermillion to anyone getting married and looking for a planner. As someone who went through the process, I now know just how important selecting your wedding planner. You want someone who is not only professional and knows the industry, but also someone you will get along with too, so that the process is enjoyable. Sikh Punjabi Wedding

Working with Minoti was delightful from the first introductory call. I had spoken to a few local Indian wedding planners and there was something about Minoti's demeanor and humble nature that sparked with my personality. She respected my questions, never made me feel like she was going to drive me down a path I was uncomfortable with, and our conversation were always easy. I decided to hire Vermillion Weddings as our month of coordinator, and based on the details I was most concerned about Minoti also offered an option to add design coordination for both the wedding at the San Jose Gurdwara and our reception at the City View at Metreon Venue in San Francisco. My favorite part of working with Minoti was how charming, bubbly, and fun she was to be around. During a time where I was under tremendous stress after a long work day, and wedding planning with family on two coasts, she made things feel less complicated. Our décor planning meetings always felt more like a hangout with a close girlfriend versus a transaction with a vendor. Minoti offered up ideas based on her interactions with our personalities, and was never offended if we choose a different path. Additionally, Minoti would even catch me and ask me why I was straying from my original vision, and helped me make sure I wasn't compromising on anything from our earliest conversations. The transformation we saw from our friend/design coordinator to our month of coordinator was something we very much so appreciated. She was able to be firm when needed, and responded to all of our emergencies and fire drills gracefully even when we were freaking out. Minoti had a naturally intuitive sense of what we were feeling (good or bad), and how to address our anxieties (whether they were warranted or unwarranted). I would highly recommend Vermillion Weddings to anyone. Minoti keeps her fingers on the pulse of what is trending, what is exiting/new, and what's overdone. My parents who are very picky were so impressed with what we put together, and have been getting calls since the day after our events about how our wedding was the most fun and well organized event they had ever been to (this was both our Indian family, and our Indian/non-Indian friends.) Everything was seamless, and even day of emergencies were handled without any stress on us. I credit this to how Minoti organized our vision and made it into a reality that our family and guests could see, smell, taste, hear and feel. Thanks again for everything!

Punjabi + South Indian Fusion Wedding

Five Stars hardly suffice for the incredible work and effort put on by Minoti and her team at Vermillion Weddings. I can hardly begin to find the words to describe how incredible the team was in really helping us get everything together for that once in a lifetime, special wedding day! I had a traditional indian wedding, with events split into two days, and Minoti was absolutely critical to helping everything run smoothly. One of the most incredible feats was really making sure that every member of the wedding party, including the Bride, the Groom, the Bride's parents and the Groom's parents, were all on the same page. This was made extra easy with the walk throughs that she helped us coordinate with each venue. Minoti & her team's attention to detail is impeccable. I'd be hugely remiss if I didn't mention that the Vermillion Weddings team also did an incredible job making sure that both the Bride & Groom were well fed. On both days of the wedding festivities, the Vermillion team made sure to prepare plates of food so we were not starving throughout the day. It was really that level of attention to detail, and genuine care for the Bride & Groom that truly made the day(s). Minoti's expertise was irreplaceable and I genuinely could not imagine having the wedding without her. Vermillion Weddings helped us make sure that the wedding went smoothly and timely. We opted for the month of coordination package, and true to her word, Minoti helped us coordinate MORE than I can even describe! Above all else, Minoti's energy was incredible and positive and bubbly. Minoti really did wonders at assuaging all my pre-wedding anxieties and assuring me that all would go well. Sure enough, everything went incredibly well! Definitely will be recommending Minoti to any and all friends and family getting married! Indian Fusion Wedding

My husband and I got married in August 2017 in San Francisco. While my husbands family resides in northern Cali, both of us live in NYC we wanted to provide a semi destination wedding for visiting family and friends. While researching for a planner, I was searching for someone whom I can completely trust in their expertise and capable to create my vision of a fairytale wedding. I was pleased to find Minoti after hearing raving reviews from close friends. She was very kind and listened to everything we had to say and went above and beyond to answer any questions or concerns we had prior to making a commitment. I felt complete confidence in her even though I had never met her. She was very thorough and had an agenda as to not get distracted or off track on the subject - for every phone conference we had with her. She had great vendors in mind and was extremely flexible to work with vendors she had never worked with before. Our conference calls became more frequent as the time got closer. She was always able to schedule around our inflexible work hours and the time difference between the east and west coast. I felt very comfortable to call her about concerns I had even if it was in the middle of the night for her (not that I did), but she will make you that comfortable. I appreciated her honesty and redirecting our options to fit within our budget. I cannot say enough good things about the service from her team during the sangeet/wedding days. They were there for me every step of the way! I felt very relaxed and able to enjoy the two days of my wedding without having to worry about what needed to be done. Minoti even made the extra effort to listen to any problems and concerns I had until the very last minute. What resonates the most about her in particular is her ability to problem solve. She had abundant experience in the field and she definitely is a professional in regards to navigating around tough situations. She helped balance the stress from different sides of planning a wedding and more importantly the actual events themselves. The whole process had bonded us together and we became such good friends! That's truly how I felt throughout this process, that I was planning a wedding with a very good friend.
