About Us
Born in Kuwait, Nahid Farhoud grew up with a global and entrepreneurial mindset. Traveling from a very young age was a tradition for her Middle Eastern family, heading to destinations every summer from Turkey, Eastern Europe, England and Mexico. Her love of culture, design and start-ups found her studying in the U.S. and venturing into several small businesses in California, from an Ice Cream Parlour to real estate development and family-owned laundromats. Nahid consumed every last detail, eventually applying it towards her wedding planning company, Nahid’s Global Events (formerly known as Wedding Elegance by Nahid). Finding her very own niche early on, knowing the cultural customs and ethnic traditions from countries all over the world, Nahid has become Southern California’s premiere wedding planning expert, specializing in Indian, South Asian, Middle Eastern, Jewish, Asian and multicultural weddings worldwide.
