The most amazing venue!

We hosted our wedding at Castello di Petrata in August 2020 (we're extremely lucky, we know!). Words really cannot describe how perfect everything was throughout our stay, and all of our guests couldn't stop talking about the fantastic time they had at the Castello. The venue is absolutely gorgeous (traditional Italian chic, overlooking the most beautiful view of Assisi and the Umbrian valley), and being able to host our wedding (and a pizza party the day before) within the Castello's beautiful grounds made it all feel like a dream. This, twinned with the amazing food we got to experience throughout our stay helped make a perfect day even better, and myself, my new husband and all of our guests cannot compliment the Chef's enough. Most importantly though, all of the team at the Castello are simply incredible, and their helpful and friendly personalities really helped make all of our guests feel welcome and like they were a part of the wonderful Petrata family. We would highly recommend Castello di Petrata as both a beautiful wedding venue and a gorgeous place to stay if you're in the area.

Absolutely beautiful!

The Castello is located in a quiet and beautiful area. The views are stunning no matter where you are on the premises. The rooms are rustic and clean. The food and wine was amazing! But they best thing of all, the customer service. Giovanni and his team are absolutely amazing! Super friendly, helpful and willing to go above and beyond for our comfort. Unfortunately, a lot of the spa and recreational activities weren't available when we visited but we still REALLY enjoyed our time here and will definitely be back to get the full experience

Best Wedding Ever!!

We got married at Castello di Petrata in August this year. We rented the hotel out for three nights and it was the most special weekend ever! We had a pizza party on the Friday, followed by the wedding ceremony and reception on the Saturday and a pool party on Sunday. The venue is absolutely stunning - the building itself is tastefully renovated with huge gardens with fig trees and lavender. The food was phenomenal and many guests have said it was some of the best wedding food ever – in particular, the four rooms with different appetizers and the wedding cake! Most of all, the best thing about Castello is Giovanni and the rest of the team! Right from the start, we found it very easy to work with them - very reliable and dependable and knew that with your experience and expertise, we were in safe hands. Nothing was too much trouble for you! Our experience was reflected by our guests who have only praise for your team; so accommodating and considerate. All that remains for me to say is that we wish Giovanni and the Castello team every success. We are certain that with such a beautiful venue, delicious food and kind staff, Castello will only go from strength to strength. We will be back soon, perhaps make it an annual trip to celebrate our anniversary! Most fondly Fiona & Michael

Wedding at Castello di Petrata

We visited as part of a wedding party. The location is superb with excellent views. The staff are amazing and very helpful. The rooms were very big and the view form our room was excellent. I would recommend visiting here and for anyone planning a wedding

Best of Italy

We held our daughters wedding here last week with about 70 guests. The beautiful Umbrian countryside combined with excellent and efficient staff made this an unforgettable event for all of us. The setting simply couldn’t be beaten with far reaching views over Assisi and beyond. When hosting over 70 guests you must be super organised with all the details of a complex event. I’m pleased to say that Giovani and his team made sure that everything ran like clockwork during the whole stay. Highly Recommended

Wedding Week End

What a fantastic, beautiful setting to get married. Rooms, food, personell, everything is perfect. Close to the old city of Assisi. We had the opportunity to rent the whole Castello for 2 days in which we created unforgettable memories.
