As travel has been largely put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the rollout of the vaccine has become the game-changer that’ll hopefully help us resume canceled plans or even map out a whole new adventure soon. With a majority of countries around the world being successful in rolling out vaccines to their citizens, we’ve got a lot of questions about where you can travel right now. The good news is the world is opening up again but you need to know few things before traveling. So as Taylor Swift says “Grab your passport and my hand..” in her song, just add your Vaccine certificate to the list, and you are good to go to these 10 countries as of 6th May 2021!
Greece

Last year, we almost packed our bags to attend the DWP Congress Greece edition, but COVID kept coming in between. Since then, we all were wishing for things to settle down and it looks like the universe heard our wishes.
From May 14, 2021, Greece will be reopening to international tourists with no quarantine & testing for vaccinated tourists, according to the Deputy Tourism Minister. For, Non-Vaccinated Tourists entering Greece are required to present a negative PCR test for COVID-19 performed up to 72 hours before their entry to Greece.
France

Craving to kiss your beloved in front of the Eifel Tower or missing the French chateaus & countryside? A plan by the French government provides for permitting foreign tourists back into France on June 9 as long as they hold a “sanitary pass” with proof of a Covid-19 vaccine or a negative PCR test. Events with up to 5,000 participants will also have the green light. A pass will also be needed to attend large events.
Maldives

The most romantic honeymoon destination in the world is already open since July 2020. The Maldives was granted the “Safe Travel” stamp by the World Travel and Tourism Council and is attracting a lot of tourists since then. The country known for pristine white beaches, turquoise water and exotic resorts requires all tourists to hold a negative nucleic acid test (PCR test) report for COVID-19 prior to 72 hours.
Seychelles

Blessed with numerous coral reefs, beaches, and nature reserves, Seychelles reopened its borders on March 25th for tourists from all the countries, as long as they have taken both the dosages of the COVID vaccine. The country will reopen to all travelers — vaccinated or not — once the majority of its population is vaccinated.
Spain

Spain will welcome all international travelers from June. The country has announced plans to introduce a ‘digital health certificate’ allowing tourists to show their vaccination status. Currently, visitors to Spain will face no mandatory quarantine but will have to go through three ‘health checkpoints’: an information form, a temperature check, and a visual inspection. As of November, all travelers from certain ‘high-risk areas’ must also provide a negative test result from within the past 72 hours.
United Arab Emirates

UAE, which is at the center of the world. is considered one of the safest destinations to travel to in the current times. It’s also emerging as a trending destination wedding hotspot as it witnessed some luxurious micro destination weddings in 2020. All arrivals must bring a negative COVID-19 test result and, depending on the country they are coming from, they may need to get re-tested on arrival.
Isreal

The Israel Ministry of Tourism in tandem with the Ministry of Health has announced that on May 23, 2021, the country will begin welcoming vaccinated groups of international travelers through a phased approach after more than a year without tourism due to COVID-19 restrictions. 60% of the adult population has received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 56% are fully vaccinated. Those numbers are the third-most and most, respectively, for any country.
Mexico

Mexico has reopened for tourism and doesn’t have any entry restrictions at the moment, so it’s one of the best countries that are open to tourists. PCR COVID test is not mandatory for visiting Mexico at the moment.
Thailand

Those tranquil beaches, exotic cuisine, magnificent temples and scenery, colorful history, or cultural and archaeological sites.. let’s admit we all are missing the Thai thrill! Three-stage reopening plans lead to no quarantine requirements for foreign tourist arrivals in five pilot destinations from October, with Phuket being the first to lift quarantine from July 1 onwards. Krabi, Phang Nga, Surat Thani (Ko Samui), Chon Buri (Pattaya) and Chiang Mai are scheduled to open from October 1st.
Croatia

Croatia became a popular destination in recent years since the filming of ‘Game of Thrones’ in the country. However, that is not the only reason people took a fancy to this beautiful country. There is a lot Croatia has to offer, so no wonder travelers choose it for their holiday.
The country is welcoming vaccinated travelers from countries, including the U.S., exempting them from pre-arrival testing or self-isolation requirements. Vaccinated travelers must arrive at least 14 days after receiving their final shot of either a two-dose vaccine or the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
The British Virgin Islands

The British Virgin Islands are a collection of 60 unspoiled islands that pack the best of the Caribbean into one convenient destination island. Known for pristine beaches surrounded by lush landscapes and unique rock formations, it will waive extended quarantine and testing requirements for vaccinated visitors starting May 15, according to the government.
