Franco and Marie’s wedding was enchanting, dreamy, and every bit of the imagination they had envisioned. It had a romantic vibe that evokes feelings of love & affection, creating an atmosphere that ignites the senses and inspires passion. Marie & Franco got married on the 14th of January 2023 in St Mary’s Cathedral, Perth, Western Australia. The reception was held at The Westin Perth.
Describing their first encounter, Franco shares- “Who knew that going out for a few drinks for your cousin’s 21st birthday would lead to you meeting your soulmate & love of your life? That’s exactly what happened to me…That night I caught her checking me out from across the bar, (she’ll tell you otherwise) but Marie already had my attention. I knew my slick dance moves & cool but persistent attitude would help me woo this gorgeous girl. Before I even knew it, I was blown away by everything about her that night & still am to this day. I am forever grateful that our worlds collided that night.”
While Marie shares- “I am now a firm believer in finding love when you’re not looking- It was post-uni-exams and I refused a drink from Franco three times before I gave in (he was playing cool but he was persistent!) The rest is history. We danced together for hours and I think I knew then that this guy was something special! Must have been his terrible dance moves, they made me laugh and he hasn’t stopped making me laugh since! We still have dance parties at home in our PJs and I live for these moments together!”
This stunning cake by Robyn’s Creative Cakes was also the design of their wedding invitation. Playing with the bold and soft looks together, the black and white color palette gave a striking contrast to the overall setup. The extensive use of baby’s breath further added a layer of elegance.
A soft neutral palette using black created a statement without overpowering the room and created a whimsical space for guests & the couple to experience. We can feel the smell of the champagne and pomegranate candles or the laughter of the guests, the taste of the amazing several courses, or the feeling of love that flowed through the room of new love to an old love and everything in between through these beautiful pictures.
