An Ethereal Los Cabos Destination Wedding

Canadian Olympic soccer star Jonelle Filigno and her husband Russ Hopkins picked the destination of their dreams for their getaway nuptials at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Golf & Spa Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The resort’s exquisite cobblestone, clay and tile work and vibrant aquamarine waves made it the perfect venue for Jonelle and Russ to hold a truly glamorous and romantic wedding. The posh ambience set by their planner Luxe Destination Weddings, with an ivory and gold colour palette paired with crystal chandeliers and a black-tie dress code did the trick, and these photos by La Memoir prove that you can easy pull off a couture gown and tux on the beach.

Their wedding exuded the harmonious blend of elegance, luxury, sentimental and emotional touches at every occasion. Jonelle was a vision in a crisp white gown with delicate pink tones that was designed by the couture fashion label Galia Lahav while Russ cut a fine figure in his classically tailored look that was beautifully completed with the addition of a custom pair of cufflinks that were fashioned out of buttons from the uniform of his cherished late father’s Fire Marshal’s uniform. Jonelle and Russ’s heartfelt ceremony had further elegant and traditional elements showcased in their ceremony space. The space boasted a charming chuppah draped with soft white chiffon that had a brilliant crystal chandelier attached to its centre.
