Michelle and Nico met more than a decade ago, when they were very young and still in high school in Argentina. Before starting a courtship that lasted almost seven years, they were very good friends, which helped them to form the beautiful relationship they have today. During six of the seven years, they lived in different cities, but the long-distance courtship only strengthened their relationship even more over the years.
Eventually, they decided to take their relationship to the next level and began planning their wedding in the gorgeous, colonial-era city of San Miguel de Allende in Mexico which was helmed by the talented team at Penzi Weddings! Rancho Las Sabinas was the perfect venue for the nuptial celebrations, which were attended by several of Michelle and Nico’s friends from all over the world.
The spiritual marriage ceremony was officiated by Veronica Agundis and all the bride and groom’s family members gave their blessing and wished the couple a long and happy married life. The candles lit were symbolic of the fact that this light would guide them towards blissful togetherness.
The wedding party was an intimate affair with just their family members present. Michelle walked down the aisle with her dad, which was an extremely emotional moment as she was going to live in a different country altogether, away from her native country.
The several roses that Michelle had during the ceremony were as a result of Nico’s gesture of love as he promised her that he would give her numerous roses as a symbol or his eternal love.
Right after the ceremony, the cocktail night took place in the pool area of the luxurious Rancho Las Sabinas where there were an array of margaritas, wine and mojitos served along with freshly prepared tapas by the executive chef, Luis Muñoz.
The bride chose a three-tier, blossom embellished, zesty lemon flavoured creation for their wedding cake (an amalgamation of all her favourite elements!)
The guests then walked into the spectacular garden area, flanked by lush greenery, shimmering lights and luxe chandeliers. The tent was draped in stunning floral arrangements which included roses, carnations, lisianthus, etc. The vibrant hot pink, yellow, orange purple and chartreuse colour palette resonated with the lively theme of the wedding.
“The bride had a very clear idea of what she wanted- lots of flowers and her favourite colours. So it was very easy for us to understand what she wanted, she is very romantic at heart but she was open to all of the ideas that we had in mind. The wedding was very emotional for us because I got to know her, and we got very attached on a personal level. We loved learning all about her love story and we are still friends. It is so nice to have a connection even after we finished planning her wedding!”- Guadalupe Alvarez, Penzi Weddings
