This works like a time machine and when you see the images you can see, feel, hear and even smell things that gave that special feeling at that moment in time.

Which is a photo close to your heart and why?

This image says it all. Couples place immense trust in us to capture moments they’ll cherish forever. Even 7 meters beneath the surface in the Mediterranean Sea. It’s a bold leap of faith, risking so much, and we honor that trust with expert training, strict safety protocols, and professional divers always close by.
This photo embodies our experience, the exceptional quality we deliver, and above all, the deep trust between us and the couples we serve. It’s a unique testament to what makes our work truly extraordinary.

If you were to pen your autobiography, what would the title be? “Behind the Lens: The Little Moments That Make Life Meaningful”

Benjamin Wheeler, Benjamin Wheeler Photography, UK

Benjamin has been a full time wedding photographer for 10 years now. Before that he was working in fashion so it felt natural stepping more in to weddings, being able to artistically capture natural, authentic moments and tell the story of a wedding day in a captivating and creative way. He likes to work collaboratively with couples who enjoy his work and trust him to catch the big moments and the small, carefully curated touches.

He has been honoured to be commissioned for many prestigious celebrations including HRH Princess Beatrice of York & Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s wedding in 2020 & The Duke of Westminster, Hugh Grosvenor & Olivia Henson in 2024.

How would you like to define yourself beyond the realm of your profession? Who is the real you behind the camera? I enjoy snowboarding when I can, going to see my team, Arsenal, across Europe and keeping up with what’s happening in the worlds of tech and fashion. My life at home is intrinsically linked to my job which is wonderful, but my fluffy British Blue cat, Teddy, keeps us entertained at home!

Your Favourite destinations for covering wedding shoots, and why?

I absolutely loved shooting a gorgeous intimate wedding in Portofino, Italy in 2023. Having been to most corners of Italy, this by far is my favourite outside Tuscany now. The vibe, lifestyle, food, wine and light is second to none.

I have been lucky enough to shoot weddings as far afield as Thailand, Singapore, Australia, Sri Lanka and across the US. Some of my all time favourite celebrations were destinations including the Gili Islands in Bali, Punta del Este in Uruguay, a tiny pocket of Sicily and an epic backyard wedding in Palm Springs, California.

What is the ONE thing about your work that makes you so passionate about it? Matching the technical, geeky side of work to the emotion of weddings! No job quite like it.

Which is a photo close to your heart and why?

This was the wedding I mentioned from Portofino. I took a huge leap of faith shooting over 30 rolls of film with help of a second for this couple, who being an amazing creative photographer I knew the expectation was high. The most wonderful intimate celebration, flashes of high fashion in the most beautiful location overlooking Portofino harbour.

If you were to pen your autobiography, what would the title be? Weddings, Arsenal & Cats. The Perfect Balance

Christian Oth, Christian Oth Studio, USA

How would you like to define yourself beyond the realm of your profession? Who is the real you behind the camera? Beyond the lens, I’m someone deeply attuned to beauty, light, and the subtle narratives that unfold in quiet moments. I’m curious by nature—drawn to architecture, travel, design, and the art of conversation. I value authenticity, but I’m also fascinated by the way people present themselves to the world—and the tension between those layers. Photography may be my medium, but at heart, I’m an observer and a storyteller, always looking to distill something lasting from the fleeting.

Your Favourite destinations for covering wedding shoots, and why?

  • St Barths – the island is like no other
  • Lake Como – for European glamour and chic
  • Hotel Du Cap – for a classic Slim Aarons vibe
  • Amangiri, Utah – Desert chic and quite remote
  • Paris – Hotel Crillon for the ultimate experience

What is the ONE thing about your work that makes you so passionate about it? The one thing that drives my passion is the ability to preserve emotion—authentically and beautifully—in a single frame. There’s something extraordinary about capturing a fleeting glance, a moment of quiet joy, or the electricity in a room, and knowing it

Which is a photo close to your heart and why?

I chose this image as one of my best wedding photographs because it captures something so often missed: a bride entirely in her own joy. There’s no formality, no posing—just movement, energy, and that effortless confidence that comes when someone forgets the camera is there. The polka-dot dress, the soft twirl, the quiet elegance of the setting—it all comes together in a way that feels editorial yet completely real. It’s a portrait of personality, not just fashion or beauty. To me, this image distills what I love most about wedding photography: finding the extraordinary in an unguarded moment.

If you were to pen your autobiography, what would the title be? Through the Quiet Lens”

How would you like to define yourself beyond the realm of your profession? Who is the real you behind the camera? Beyond the lens, I’m a mother, a gardener, a story-teller. My journey began with a passion for painting and drawing, and I love design – all things that fill my cup when I’m at home. My life on the road is energetic so I cherish more quiet time when I’m home—walking with my son Emerson, remodeling our 18th-century farmhouse, and finding beauty in everyday life. These experiences enrich my perspective, allowing me to connect deeply with the couples I photograph and to capture their stories with authenticity and heart.

What is the ONE thing about your work that makes you so passionate about it? The importance of the heirloom in all of our lives. Preserving the intimate, fleeting moments of a couple’s most significant day fuels my passion. It’s about telling a story that will be cherished for generations

Which is a photo close to your heart and why?

This image encapsulates the essence of my photographic style— soft blue hues, a subtle fashion moment, authentic emotion, natural light, and timelessness. It represents a moment where everything aligned perfectly just before the bride went to the ceremony.

The light, the architecture, and the atmosphere create a setting that feels both cinematic and deeply romantic. Every corner holds history and elegance, making it an endless source of inspiration.

What is the ONE thing about your work that makes you so passionate about it? The people!

Which is a photo close to your heart and why?

This photograph captures the essence of what we stand for. The bride is at the heart of the frame – beautiful, radiant, confident, and entirely herself – while the use of flash gives the image that unmistakable editorial edge. Yet what makes this photo truly powerful is everything surrounding her. The scene is filled with different lenses, each with a singular mission: to preserve love in its many forms. And in that, this photo becomes not just a portrait of a bride, but a time capsule of how we now experience love, beauty, and celebration.

If you were to pen your autobiography, what would the title be? It was always all about LOVE”

  • Qatar – I can confidently say Qatar is a hidden gem! With its stunning architecture, rich culture, and world-class hotels, it’s the perfect mix of modern and timeless, giving your wedding a truly unique and unforgettable vibe.
  • UAE – If you’re dreaming of style and grandeur, the UAE has everything you need. One of the most memorable weddings I’ve been to was at Al Burj, everything was so grand! Dubai is all about making your big day as extravagant and magical as your love story.
  • France – The city of love, Paris, is a dream for many couples, but the south of France has even more to offer, from enchanting castles to sprawling vineyards. It’s full of romantic, picture-perfect wedding venues. Imagine saying “I do” in a charming chateau surrounded by rolling hills and lavender fields, or having an intimate ceremony in a tucked-away beach cove on the French Riviera.

What is the ONE thing about your work that makes you so passionate about it? For me, it’s the chance to tell stories through photography, it’s something I’m truly passionate about. Each day, I get to meet amazing people from all kinds of backgrounds and learn their unique stories through my camera.

Which is a photo close to your heart and why?

This photo is one of my all-time favorites a couple dancing in the heart of Camden Town, London. Around them, strangers pause their day to cheer and celebrate the moment, creating a beautiful connection between people who may never meet again. Capturing this special moment felt like a privilege. Not only will the couple treasure this memory, but those strangers will likely remember the joy of witnessing it too. Moments like these remind us how powerful a shared celebration can be.

If you were to pen your autobiography, what would the title be? My determination and hard work paid off”

Elisabetta Marzetti, Italy

  • Portugal – Portugal has a soulful, raw beauty that touches me. From the wild coastlines of Comporta to the romantic charm of Sintra, it offers so much space for honest, emotional storytelling.
  • Austria – Austria surprises me every time—with its grand architecture, peaceful landscapes, and refined elegance. It’s a place that balances emotion and beauty in such a graceful way.

What is the ONE thing about your work that makes you so passionate about it? The one thing that makes me so passionate about my work is the act of photographing itself. I truly love it—there’s something magical about observing in silence and turning emotion into something tangible.

Which is a photo close to your heart and why?

This photo is incredibly close to my heart because it captures the emotional depth of a mother and father watching their daughter get married. There’s something profoundly moving in their quiet expressions — her eyes gently closed as if holding back tears, his hand covering his mouth in an attempt to contain the emotion. It’s in these silent moments, often unnoticed, that the real beauty of a wedding day lives. For me, it’s not just about photographing a couple, but about witnessing all the love that surrounds them — the generations, the memories, the tenderness. This image is a gentle reminder of how love expresses itself without words.

Which is a photo close to your heart and why?

Because it’s all about the light and my personal choice. The ceremony should obviously shot from the other side to display the arch and floral design. But I picked this angle as that’s where the light was, and it’s one of my favorite wedding photo ever.

Beyond the camera, I’m someone who finds meaning in quiet moments and deep connection. I’m endlessly curious about people—their nuances, their relationships, the little gestures that speak volumes. I’m a mother, a partner, a traveler, and a collector of fleeting beauty: the way afternoon light dances on a wall, the silence between words, the feeling of returning home after time away.

Your Favourite destinations for covering wedding shoots, and why?

  • Côte d’Azur – The Côte d’Azur is pure elegance—sun-drenched coastlines, pastel-toned villages, and that unmistakable Mediterranean light. The atmosphere lends itself perfectly to emotional, light-filled imagery with a relaxed yet refined aesthetic.
  • Sicilia – Though I haven’t photographed a wedding in Sicily yet, I’m deeply inspired by its layered beauty—ancient architecture, wild landscapes, earthy textures, and soulful energy.
  • Ninh Binh, Vietnam – Ninh Binh is unlike anywhere else I’ve photographed—a dreamscape of limestone mountains, winding rivers, and spiritual stillness. It’s poetic and grounding, with a quiet magic that invites deeper emotion. The natural beauty here sets the stage for truly intimate celebrations that feel both epic and deeply personal.
  • Tokyo, Japan – Tokyo captivates me with its contrasts—hyper-modern and deeply traditional, vibrant yet serene. The city’s aesthetic sensitivity and thoughtful design language are things I’d love to translate into visual storytelling. It’s a destination where even the smallest moments can feel profound.
  • South Africa – South Africa is at the top of my dream list for its vast, cinematic landscapes and golden light. From rugged coastlines to lush vineyards, it offers an incredible backdrop for weddings that feel both grounded and grand.

What is the ONE thing about your work that makes you so passionate about it? Human Connection! At the heart of it, I’m fascinated by people—their connections, their stories, the way love reveals itself in small, often unnoticed moments. My passion comes from the deep sense of meaning I find in being trusted to document that.

Which is a photo close to your heart and why?

This photo is incredibly close to my heart because it marks a full-circle moment in my life. Returning to my hometown in Vietnam to photograph my very first wedding there was nothing short of a dream come true—and the wedding itself felt like something out of a storybook.

The scene was unforgettable: a cliff overlooking a breathtaking mountain range, transformed by a bold red carpet and surreal, oversized horse sculptures. It was dramatic, whimsical, and deeply moving all at once. Capturing that moment felt like standing at the intersection of past and present—where my roots, my artistic vision, and my dreams all aligned.

How would you like to define yourself beyond the realm of your profession? Who is the real you behind the camera? Behind the camera, I’m someone who finds beauty in quiet moments and sees the extraordinary in the ordinary. I’m endlessly inspired by fashion, art and the way light moves through a space but more than anything, I love holding space for people to be fully themselves. That’s the version of them I aim to capture. Calm, grounded and quietly observant!

Your Favourite destinations for covering wedding shoots, and why?

  • Provence, France:
Provence offers a serene setting where the pace slows and details matter. Weddings here are intimate and refined, suited to couples who appreciate understated elegance and timeless style.
  • Paris, France:
Paris is a city of romance and contrast, combining grand architecture with hidden courtyards. We love how a wedding in Paris can be both classic and daring.
  • Mallorca, Spain:
Mallorca provides a stunning Mediterranean backdrop with its coastline, cliffs and olive groves. Weddings here feel natural and elegant, ideal for couples who value light, warmth and an effortless atmosphere.
  • Tuscany, Italy:
Tuscany is defined by its natural beauty with rolling hills, olive trees, and evenings spent outdoors. Few places offer golden sunsets quite like those found in Tuscany.
  • The Cotswolds, England:
The Cotswolds charm with its countryside gardens and honey-stone cottages. The ideal setting for couples seeking a blend of tradition and effortless country chic with understated luxury.

What is the ONE thing about your work that makes you so passionate about it? What drives me most is the challenge of blending creativity with real moments, finding the unexpected beauty in everyday interactions and framing them in a way that feels both effortless and intentional.

Which is a photo close to your heart and why?

This photo stands out to me because it captures a quiet, genuine moment between the couple. There’s something so natural in the way she’s reaching for his face and the way he’s looking at her, just being completely present. The composition, soft light and black-and-white edit give it a timeless quality, but it’s the simplicity of the connection that makes it meaningful. I feel honoured to have witnessed it. Moments like this don’t just happen in front of a camera, they come from trust. It takes a certain presence behind the lens to create space for that kind of vulnerability, and that’s something I’m proud of.

How would you like to define yourself beyond the realm of your profession? Who is the real you behind the camera? Beyond the camera, I’m still the same kid from Palm Beach, Florida who loves to inspire others and find joy in the simple things. I’m grounded in gratitude, grateful for the journey, the people I meet, and the chance to do what I love every day. At my core, I’m someone who values connection, purpose, and leaving people better than I found them.

Your Favourite destinations for covering wedding shoots, and why?

Santorini for its sunsets and stunning views. Cabo for its vibrant energy and beaches. Jamaica for the culture and warmth that feels like home. Italy for timeless charm and romance. Miami because it’s home and where my love for storytelling began.

Which is a photo close to your heart and why?

This is my favorite image because it captures raw emotion in a single glance. Her eyes tell a story of love and presence while the movement in her hair and hand brings the moment to life. It feels powerful intimate and timeless.

Katie Julia, UK

Katie Julia is a British photographer, artist, and creative director known for a painterly, ‘Soft VOGUE’ style, paired with natural moments and authentic storytelling. With a background as an art Scholar, and over decade of experience, she leads a trusted creative team who support the production of refined, visually iconic work across the worlds of weddings, fashion, and iconic brands. Her style is defined by its timeless elegance, romantic tone, and devotion to atmosphere. Her work has been chosen by clients seeking beauty with depth, story with class and soul. A personal highlight in her career was seeing Pixie Lott’s wedding, which she had the honour of photographing, named one of the top 8 weddings in the world by Vogue.

Katie’s purpose has always been bigger than the images themselves. She has long believed that creatives deserve more- more soul, more support, more visibility and a new standard of success built on artistry, truth, and bold self-expression.

How would you like to define yourself beyond the realm of your profession? Who is the real you behind the camera? Beyond the lens, I’m someone who deeply values beauty, intention, and soul — in the way I live as much as the way I create. I’m an artist at heart, inspired by atmosphere, stillness, and emotion. I live in the Cotswolds with my fiancé, our blended family of three wonderful girls, and our two dogs — a tiny 1.9kg chihuahua who is pure magic, and Uma, our gentle ridgeback. Life here is peaceful and grounded, shaped by meaningful rituals that bring joy.

I’ve been painting for years and am now developing a homeware collection based on that work. I also have a deep love for fashion and interior design — creative expression weaves through every part of who I am. Health and wellbeing are part of our rhythm too — countryside walks, swimming, nourishing meals, and slow time together.

Your Favourite destinations for covering wedding shoots, and why?

  • Cotswolds – of course! It’s where I live.
  • French Riviera- We are getting married ourselves in Provence, so its a personal favourite.
  • Italy – Tuscany is particularly beautiful! Almalfi and Capri have also been a favourite as I used to go there as a little girl, so I have memories.
  • Bermuda – I adore the pink houses and the Bermuda Style.
  • Palm Springs – A total Dream!

What is the ONE thing about your work that makes you so passionate about it? Its ability to move people — to create imagery that doesn’t just document, but feels. What drives me is capturing emotional truth, atmosphere, and beauty.

Which is a photo close to your heart and why?

I chose this image because it captures the very essence of why I create. Shot on film, it reflects the origin of my journey. This particular shoot was a turning point in my career. Created in collaboration with my dear friend and visionary planner Alice Wilkes, it became a global moment — shared and celebrated all over the world. Together, we crafted what I believe is the most powerful work we’ve ever produced. Not only for its aesthetic quality, but for the story it told. It was a reclamation of modern femininity — bold, elegant, layered with meaning — and an artistic statement that pushed boundaries in our industry. We didn’t just create something beautiful. We said something with it. And I believe the world felt it. To this day years on this shoot still circles the internet and books clients. It is a photo that means a lot to me.

Maddy Christina, Europe

Maddy Christina is an international wedding photographer, known for her elegant aesthetic and unmatched client experience. With a strong presence in France, Italy, and the Middle East, Maddy is recognized for her ability to capture timeless beauty while delivering a deeply personalized and seamless experience. Today, Maddy Christina is not only a trusted name behind some of the world’s most exclusive weddings, but also a mentor and speaker dedicated to elevating the wedding industry with passion and purpose.

How would you like to define yourself beyond the realm of your profession? Who is the real you behind the camera? Behind the camera, I’m a deeply intense soul, constantly moving, creating, building. When I’m not immersed in the elegance of weddings, you’ll find me hiking in silence, far from people, with my dog Coco, who is more than a pet, she’s my heart, my home, my grounding force. She reminds me daily of what really matters.

I find peace in motion, in nature, in solitude. I belong everywhere and nowhere at once. My closest friends know that while I live in the sky, always between flights and countries, I never lose sight of what’s real.

If I had to define myself beyond my work, I’d say I’m a wild heart with a quiet strength, guided by the words: “Give me the strength to accept what I cannot change, the courage to change what I can, and the wisdom to know the difference”.

Your Favourite destinations for covering wedding shoots, and why?

  • French Riviera – As a French native, it’s home. I truly believe it’s the most beautiful place on earth. The light, the atmosphere, the elegance — everything feels effortless yet incredibly refined.
  • Italy – A country full of contrasts and beauty. Whether it’s the romance of Venice, the history of Rome, or the drama of Amalfi, Italy offers endless possibilities for storytelling through photography.
  • Kuwait – Kuwait is where my Middle Eastern journey began. It was my first connection to this vibrant region, and it shaped the way I approach my work and connect with my clients.
  • Greece – The light in Greece is unlike anywhere else. The soft tones, the white architecture, and the endless blues create a clean and emotional visual language I love to explore.
  • Dubai – I live in Dubai during the season, and there’s nothing better than creating in a city you call home. Shooting a luxury wedding and then going home instead of to a hotel — that’s the definition of balance for me.

What is the ONE thing about your work that makes you so passionate about it? The special link with my brides.

Which is a photo close to your heart and why?

I chose this image because it brings together everything I love and stand for in my work. It was taken at the iconic Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, a place that holds a very special place in my heart — both as one of my most trusted partners and as a symbol of the French Riviera, the place where I truly found myself and flourished, both personally and professionally.

But most importantly, this bride represents the connection I strive to build with each of my clients. She holds a special place in my heart — elegant, confident, and emotionally present. She embodies everything I love in the women I photograph: grace, presence, and that natural sense of fashion that brings every image to life. This photo reflects my signature style — refined, emotional, luminous — and reminds me why I feel so deeply connected to what I do.

How would you like to define yourself beyond the realm of your profession? Who is the real you behind the camera? Beyond the lens I’m a mother of four, a wife, a spiritual seeker, and someone deeply committed to living with honesty, kindness, and purpose. I lead with clarity and heart in everything I do, whether I’m documenting a wedding, capturing a quiet portrait, or simply showing up in my own life. I don’t believe in surface-level anything. I value integrity, depth, and the kind of presence that makes people feel seen. Photography is one part of how I express myself — but who I am runs deeper than the art I create. I’m here to live with meaning, create with intention, and leave people better than I found them.

Your Favourite destinations for covering wedding shoots, and why?

Orlando, Miami, Jacksonville, St. Petersburg, Tampa Bay, Florida. – I love the palm trees and beautiful beaches.

What is the ONE thing about your work that makes you so passionate about it? I’m passionate about my work because I get to preserve emotion — the real, fleeting moments that often go unnoticed but hold so much meaning. Being trusted to witness and document someone’s love, legacy, or transformation is an honor I never take lightly.

Which is a photo close to your heart and why?

I chose this image because it represents one of the most exhilarating and nerve-wracking moments of my career. Just seconds before this shot, I had to run back into position—heart racing, surrounded by people, unable to fully breathe as the colored fireworks were set to explode. These bursts only last for about two seconds, and I knew I had one chance to get it right. I held my breath, steadied my hands, and captured what felt like pure magic.

This wasn’t just a photo; it was a test of instinct, timing, and trust in myself. The pressure, the chaos, the beauty—it all came together in this moment. It reminds me why I do what I do: for the fleeting seconds that tell forever stories.

  • India will always be home in a soulful way. Though we live in the U.S., India’s colors, rituals, and deep-rooted traditions continue to influence how we see love and legacy through the lens.
  • Bali is where serenity meets spirituality. Its landscapes feel like poetry, and the energy is grounding—perfect for both personal reflection and breathtaking storytelling.
  • Italy is pure magic. From the Amalfi Coast to Tuscany, it’s a feast for the senses: rich in history, passion, and timeless romance. It’s where culture and chaos meet in the most beautiful harmony.
  • Africa opened our hearts in a profound way. The raw beauty, the spirit of the people, the wildlife—it’s humbling and unforgettable. It taught us that the most powerful stories are often the ones that feel untouched.
  • Paris—the ultimate city of love. It’s elegance, emotion, and art all in one. Every corner feels cinematic. It’s impossible not to fall in love—with the city, with each other, and with the craft.

What is the ONE thing about your work that makes you so passionate about it? What fuels our passion is the privilege of witnessing love at its most real and turning those moments into timeless art. We find joy in exceeding expectations, creating work so emotionally rich and visually striking that clients ask, “How did you do that?”

Which is a photo close to your heart and why?

This photo is the epitome of creativity in a challenging environment. We had done this shot in mid daylight but we knew it would be foggy the next morning and convinced our couple to return at 5am before it was open, convinced the boat operator to take us out and set up a light behind the couple to create this epic moment. To make the birds fly it took getting them to settle in one place then throwing a small stone to the top of the structure to scare them to fly at the same time. It was challenging light so we had to adjust to make sure it was a delicate blend of flash and ambient light with the perfect framing and the crows flying to achieve this moment. It’s who we are, committed to getting the shot and stretching to create something thats unusually beautiful.

One day, I hope to write a book about this journey – not just the path of my career, but the personal story behind it: the growth, the lessons, and the life I’ve built along the way.

Your Favourite destinations for covering wedding shoots, and why?

One of the most defining moments for me was an editorial shoot at Villa Balbiano on Lake Como. It went viral and marked a real turning point in my journey. That place will always feel magical – elegant, cinematic, and unforgettable. In fact, all of Italy holds a special place for me. From the romantic cliffs of the Amalfi Coast, to the timeless charm of Rome, the elegance of Venice, and the sunlit beauty of Taormina – each region has its own unique vibe, perfect for different kinds of love stories.

Of course, there’s Paris. It’s the city of love for a reason. There’s something iconic about kisses under the Eiffel Tower and the effortless elegance that fills every corner of the city, it’s always inspiring.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to explore the USA. It’s such a diverse and picturesque country, with landscapes and cultures completely different from Europe. From deserts to coastlines to modern cityscapes. I see endless creative possibilities there.

What is the ONE thing about your work that makes you so passionate about it? I love making people feel like superstars—even just for a day. When my clients see their photos and say, “This looks like a magazine cover,” that’s the moment I live for. It’s not just about lighting or composition – it’s about confidence, joy, and seeing.

Which is a photo close to your heart and why?

I love working with couples and capture their love story, create memories that last a lifetime in the most beautiful way. The photo I took of international influencer Valerie Lungu and Alex Gilca in Lake Como is close to my heart because it beautifully captures an intimate, genuine moment between two people in one of the world’s most romantic settings. As a luxury photographer for celebrities and high-profile events, it’s rare to find such a natural blend of elegance, emotion, and timeless scenery—this image reminds me why I fell in love with storytelling through the lens.

Sam Sacramento, Sam Sacramento Photography, USA

For over 18 years, Sam has been capturing weddings through a lens shaped by elegance, timelessness, and a deep love for storytelling. His style is classic and editorial — refined yet emotional — with a strong focus on beauty, light, and authentic connection. Photography has taken him to over 30 countries, allowing him to witness love in its many forms, from the cobblestone streets of Europe to the coastlines of South America. Each celebration is a story waiting to be told, and he aims to portray it with intention, emotion, and aesthetic harmony.

It’s a privilege to do what I love — to document love stories with soul, style, and sincerity.

How would you like to define yourself beyond the realm of your profession? Who is the real you behind the camera? Beyond the camera, I’m a husband, a father, and a man of deep faith. I’ve been married for 22 years to the love of my life and work partner, Rayana Sacramento, and together we’ve built a beautiful life with our four daughters. My family is my foundation — they ground me, inspire me, and give meaning to everything I do.

I’m also passionate about health and discipline. As a former athlete and member of the Brazilian national Taekwondo team, physical activity has always played a vital role in my life. It shaped who I am — driven, focused, and resilient.

Faith is at the core of my identity. I believe in living with purpose and letting God guide every decision I make. I find joy in serving, volunteering, and being present in my church community. At the heart of it all, my greatest desire is to be a blessing in the lives of those around me — whether through my art, my actions, or my everyday life.

Your Favourite destinations for covering wedding shoots, and why?

  • Italy holds a very special place in my heart. It’s not just one destination — it’s a collection of breathtaking regions, each with its own soul. From the poetic golden light of Tuscany, to the romantic grandeur of Lake Como, to the timeless beauty of the Amalfi Coast, Italy is endlessly inspiring. The history, architecture, textures, and atmosphere create the perfect backdrop for elegant and emotionally rich storytelling.
  • Switzerland is where beauty meets balance. The natural landscapes are absolutely stunning — from the Alps to the serene lakes — and everything is impeccably organized. The light there is soft and flattering, ideal for creating dreamy, refined imagery. It’s a peaceful and sophisticated place that allows me to focus entirely on the emotion and detail of the moment.
  • France offers effortless elegance. Whether it’s a château in the countryside, the charm of Provence, or the iconic romance of Paris, weddings here have an undeniable refinement. The French aesthetic aligns perfectly with my editorial and classic style, making it one of my favorite places to photograph.
  • Bali was a completely unique experience — peaceful, spiritual, and connected to nature in such a pure way. The tropical landscapes, warm people, and laid-back energy create a beautiful environment for intimate celebrations. As someone who loves nature, Bali spoke to a different part of my creative soul.
  • Mexico is full of life, color, and joy — and that energy deeply resonates with my personality. The vibrant culture, warm hospitality, and festive atmosphere make every wedding feel like a true celebration. From the beaches of Riviera Maya to the charm of San Miguel de Allende, it’s a country where I can truly embrace creativity and emotion in every frame.

What is the ONE thing about your work that makes you so passionate about it? I love being able to serve people through my art — capturing moments of pure joy and creating images that allow them to relive their most meaningful memories.

Which is a photo close to your heart and why?

This image, taken back in 2016, has remained in my portfolio for nearly a decade. Of course, we evolve and improve with each project, but this photograph marked a turning point in my career. Although I usually gravitate toward vibrant colors, this one had to be in black and white. It has a timeless, classic feel—and the light, which is natural, plays a key role. Light is something I value deeply in my work.

What I love most is that, even though the couple isn’t smiling, there’s so much emotion. I see them pausing in reflection, almost as if taking a deep breath before stepping into a lifelong journey together. It radiates love in a very intimate and honest way. On top of that, the couple holds a very special place in my heart. So for me, this image is a blend of meaning, memory, and pure emotion.

Samm Blake, USA

Samm Blake is an Australian photographer based in New York City, with over two decades of experience capturing weddings around the world. Known for a unique blend of documentary honesty and editorial sensitivity, Samm’s work focuses on human connection and meaningful storytelling. Drawing on a background in photography and journalism, Samm creates imagery that feels intimate, artful, and emotionally resonant. With a quiet, intuitive approach, Samm collaborates closely with couples to document celebrations in a way that is both thoughtful and beautifully composed.

How would you like to define yourself beyond the realm of your profession? Who is the real you behind the camera? Beyond the camera, I feel most alive when I’m elsewhere, passport in hand, always up for an adventure in unfamiliar places. Long walks through New York ground me, as does to tending to DIY projects at home and in the garden, or looking through a photo book that transports me. I draw inspiration from cinema and the hum of the city and the stillness of the countryside. I see myself as equal parts observer and participant – present, curious, and calm. I navigate the world by following where curiosity and intuition lead.

Your Favourite destinations for covering wedding shoots, and why?

  • Italy – The light, the history, the romance. It’s endlessly inspiring, and every frame feels cinematic.
  • Japan – A striking blend of tradition and modernity. I’m drawn to its contrasts – serene shrines tucked between neon-lit streets, minimalist details set against vibrant urban energy.
  • Germany – I once photographed a Bavarian wedding where everyone wore traditional Tracht and celebrated with wild, all-out partying deep into the night. I loved the mix of heritage, community, and unfiltered joy.
  • France – Weddings in France have a refined ease. The architecture, the atmosphere, the way people gather all lend themselves to beautiful, thoughtful storytelling.
  • Somewhere Tropical – I’m endlessly drawn to places where color, culture, and nature come alive. Whether it’s a coastal town in Mexico, a rainforest ceremony in Hawaii, the cliffsides of Uluwatu in Indonesia, or a celebration on a Caribbean island, there’s a vibrancy and rhythm that runs through it all. The tropical light is magic, and these weddings are full of energy. I love how each place embraces bold color in its own way — it brings a richness and personality that makes every frame feel alive.

What is the ONE thing about your work that makes you so passionate about it? It’s the human connection. Being invited into such intimate spaces and trusted to document something so meaningful is a privilege I never take for granted. That emotional weight is what keeps me inspired.

Which is a photo close to your heart and why?

This photo was taken just moments before the bride walked down the aisle at Sea Ranch, California. We were out on the cliffs, surrounded by wind and wild stillness. She had stepped away to take a few quiet moments alone. When she returned, we didn’t speak. She simply looked at me. There was something so steady and sure in her expression, completely grounded in the moment.

I love this frame not just for its beauty. There is more to it than the soft golden light on her veil or the blueness of the sky. It holds something deeper. It is presence. It is the stillness before everything begins.

Sanjay is a photographer, Canon Ambassador, mentor, and creative technologist. His journey behind the lens has been one of curiosity, craftsmanship, and constant evolution. He specialises in crafting emotionally rich imagery with a fine art aesthetic, and he has been honoured to receive multiple international awards for his work in luxury wedding and portrait photography.

Above all, I remain a student of light, of people, and of the stories

How would you like to define yourself beyond the realm of your profession? Who is the real you behind the camera? Beyond the titles and the craft, I am at heart a storyteller shaped by love, loss, legacy, and light. I’m the youngest of three, raised in a home where creativity quietly flowed through the everyday. My father worked at Kodak – a man of precision duty and I grew up watching labour to make the film we would use to bring images to life, never realising how much that world of light and shadow would eventually shape my own.
When I was 15, I lost my mother, a moment that altered the rhythm of my life. Her absence left a silence that photography would later begin to fill not just as an art, but as a way to honour memory, emotion, and the fragile beauty of time.
Before the camera, I was a qualified architect here in the U learning how to shape space, structure, and meaning. But I discovered that my true canvas was people, emotion, and light.
That’s me — not just behind the camera, but because of it.

Your Favourite destinations for covering wedding shoots, and why?

  • Lake Como – Lake Como is the embodiment of timeless romance. Its serene waters, majestic villas, and golden Italian light create an atmosphere that’s both cinematic and intimate. It’s a location where elegance whispers, allowing each frame to breathe with grace and grandeur — a true dreamscape for love stories.
  • Santorini – A minimalist masterpiece, Santorini offers striking contrasts — whitewashed architecture against endless blue seas and skies. The clarity of light here is unmatched, sculpting every emotion and gesture with precision. It’s perfect for couples who crave ethereal beauty with a sense of calm and purity.
  • Dubai – Dubai is where modern luxury meets cultural depth. From soaring skyscrapers and desert dunes to opulent resorts and intricate Arabian design, it’s a playground for dramatic, high-fashion wedding storytelling. What is the ONE thing about your work that makes you so passionate about it? I embody the future value of memory in my work before the client realise the value themselves.

Which is a photo close to your heart and why?

Why is this photo so close to my heart? Because it represents a convergence of history, innovation, and deeply personal storytelling — both for me and the couple in front of my lens. But what truly matters is what this image says. It’s a portrait of quiet strength and tradition, captured in a way that’s intimate and timeless. The bride’s poised elegance, her intricate mehndi, and the single uncovered eye — all of it telling a story far beyond the frame.

This photo reminds me of my true purpose: to create something new and unique for each couple — something deeply personal that doesn’t just document their day, but becomes a legacy. A visual heirloom.

From bustling cities to quiet villages, every destination leaves its mark on us.

At the heart of everything we do is curiosity, creativity, and love for life, for learning, and for each other.

Which is a photo close to your heart and why?

I love this image because it captures everything I’m drawn to in a frame — the emotion, the intimacy, the effortless styling, and the quiet luxury of a life well-lived. It’s not just about how it looks, but how it feels: the laughter, the connection, the relaxed elegance, the unspoken bond between people (and their most loved member of the family..). It’s a moment suspended in time, full of warmth, honesty, and soul.

How would you like to define yourself beyond the realm of your profession? Who is the real you behind the camera? Beyond the realm of my profession, I would define myself first and foremost as a family man. Because I am constantly on the go with destination weddings from late spring until early autumn, I truly value the quieter moments when I can slow down and recharge. Whenever possible, I dedicate that time to being with my wife and our three children. I also enjoy gardening, which gives me the opportunity to connect with nature and find a different kind of creative expression.

Your Favourite destination for covering wedding shoots, and why?

  • The Greek islands are truly special to me because each one has its own unique character and beauty. Whether it is the iconic views of Santorini, the vibrant atmosphere of Mykonos or the more quaint and peaceful places like Milos, Sifnos or Folegandros, the light and scenery always inspire me to create something timeless and full of feeling.
  • Italy is a country full of history and romance. From the impressive villas and serene waters of Lake Como to the rolling hills of Tuscany, the stunning Amalfi Coast, and the timeless cities like Rome and Venice, there are so many options for the perfect backdrop.
  • The South of France has a relaxed elegance that I love. Provence, with its charming chateaus, rustic country estates, and picturesque villages, offers a great mix of countryside chic and refined elegance. Then there is the Côte d’Azur, with its luxurious seaside resorts and glamorous vibe, which brings a touch of sophistication to every celebration.
  • Spain is full of passion and life. The rich culture, beautiful architecture, and warm spirit make it an exciting place to work and capture joyful, colorful celebrations.
  • Thailand offers a peaceful and lush setting that feels like a true escape. Its beaches, jungles, and temples create a serene and magical backdrop.

What is the ONE thing about your work that makes you so passionate about it? What drives me most is capturing real moments that show the true emotions of a wedding day. I love creating images that feel honest and timeless. These are photos my couples will look back on and feel everything all over again.

Which is a photo close to your heart and why?

I selected this particular photo because the light conditions were especially challenging. The strong, direct sunlight was coming straight into the camera, which made it technically demanding to expose the image correctly while still keeping the mood and detail intact.

If you were to pen your autobiography, what would the title be? I am not sure about the title, but my autobiography would focus on my journey with photography and how it became a way of seeing the world.
