“Crossing seven seas is acceptable only when I know you are waiting on the other side of the world.” – Stuti Tiwary
American wedding traditions go beyond the customary saying for the bride to carry “something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue.” Despite being located in the extreme west, today, American couples are choosing to cross seven seas to say ‘I do.’ And why not! The beauty of the Eastern & Central parts of the world is timeless. Moreover, the exotic fusion of Western culture with Eastern venues is magnificent to witness. Here’s what American couples chose as their go-to wedding destinations for 2020 according to some of the renowned wedding planners in America.

Tammy Kober Ortiz from Red Carpet Corporate Events, U.S.A.: Bali is a very unique and super romantic destination for couples of all religious affiliations. For my South Asian clients, the location is perfect for a family traveling from India and the U.S.A. along with the availability of Indian vendors and cuisine, large resorts to accommodate large families such as the Ayana, Bali, Mulia, Bali. But for smaller Christian ceremonies there are some breathtaking properties such as the Edge, Bali or St Regis, Bali.
Greece

She also pointed towards the lands of Gods – Greece. If you have a big guest list, then Greek islands such as Rhodes, Crete, and Santorini with all-inclusive options and enough rooms to accommodate are perfect.
Mexico

Tammy talked about why Mexico is a popular choice among couples. The quality of service, cuisine, and professionalism in entertainment and hospitality are consistent and of very good quality. The new Atelier in Costa Mujeres is fantastic as is Hotel Xcaret, the Belmond Maroma for smaller weddings and on the West coast, Le Blanc for adults only, Las Ventanas, One and Only Pamilla, Grand Velas. Casa de Campo in the DR also is a great choice along with others in the Cap Cana region.
Costa Rica

Cristina Salazar from Costa Rica: Manuel Antonio is a small oceanside village with plenty of great places to stay. From extravagant luxury condos to cozy hideaway hotels tucked into nature. The magic of the beach and the greenery of the forest come together in one place, and the result is a natural paradise.
