Jeff Seyrat & Wayne Riley – known for their chic style and attention to details, this power duo is recognized as leading luxury event and wedding florists across the French Riviera, Monaco & worldwide.

Nestled in the exclusive French Côte d’Azur, Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild is a historic French seaside villa in the South of France. This authentic, grandiose, rose-colored villa is iconic for hosting luxury weddings and that’s why this Bride & Groom flew in from Miami to celebrate amongst family & friends in this legendary location.

The glamorous architecture of this villa witnessed and embraced the floral escapades by Wayne Riley Flowers and the result was sheer magic.

No area of the villa was forgotten about – the arch was heavenly, the staircase breathtaking, and the entrance table was a vision of pink perfection – overall, love was truly in the air!

The Bride chose the Salon de Thé to celebrate their intimate ceremony, nestled amongst an orchard of 5m tall wisteria trees with the aisle bordered with hydrangeas, peonies & roses. The Spanish Gardens and their staircases & banisters covered in greenery & wisteria overlooked the Med as guests enjoyed cocktail hour.

After the traditional white & green ceremony color palette, the Bride chose soft pastels in lilacs, pinks, blush & porcelain with pale blue & cherry accents for the rest of the day. For the floral finale, they created a lush, 20m uninterrupted pathway of the head to head, locally grown florals – exquisite peonies, sweet peas, hydrangeas & roses, nestling candlelight amidst the flowers, along the entire  Empire table.

How this stunning masterpiece was brought to life…

Wayne & Jeff gave insights on how they managed to capture the personal taste of the couple and blend it with the venue’s design.

“Respecting & creating florals in harmony with the pink facade of the Villa and wanting to create a garden within a garden, we worked alongside 2 production companies for technical support including rigging & lighting the crystal chandeliers from the arches & uplighting the whole tunnel.

The florals were the focal point of the wedding – the Bride loves flowers! Often the florist comes in after every other supplier is in place but this wedding required us to lead several of the installations – from installing & dressing our arches the night before, positioning our 5m tall wisteria trees for the ceremony & dressing the banisters & staircases in the gardens to positioning the tall compositions & the long floral runner.”

The 7 tiered cake was embellished with cascading flowers to match the other venue styling.

The double-arch was phenomenal! It was 3m tall and was designed & built to occupy the entire length & width of the central alley in the French Gardens – a first in the history of weddings at the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild. With the help of an architect, a made-to-measure structure of five linked, double arches were built.

The afternoon’s installation (ceremony, cocktail & dinner table florals) was done with military precision. A team of 20 strong florists & technical support made it happen in just 2 hours.

15,000 stems were used for this exquisite masterpiece including:

* Sarah Bernhardt peonies
* Mother’s Choice peonies
* Pecher peonies
* Duchess peonies – All the peonies were locally grown
* Hydrangeas – locally grown & Colombian import
* Sweet peas – locally grown Lisianthus – locally grown Girofle – locally grown Astilbe – Dutch import Lilacs – locally grown *Anemones – Dutch
* Roses x 20 varieties – locally grown Garden roses & spray roses & Dutch import
* Lentisk, ivy, parvifolia – all locally grown greenery Silk wisteria

Later, before partying the night away inside the patio of the villa, guests sat down to a lavish dinner in front of the magnificent facade and for the first time ever, dined under a majestic tunnel of wisteria-covered double arches in the manicured Jardins à la Francaise.

Once the dusk drew near the table came alive and took on an even more opulent feel – the lit chandeliers that hung from the branches above transformed the setting into something so wonderfully romantic. Whimsical and natural, the overall setup was a dream come true.
