The Future Of Bridal Runway Shows Is Here

When the Bridal Council, which provides the latest news and puts on New York Bridal Fashion Week, announced to its members and bridal community that the October market wasn’t going to be canceled, but would be held digitally, the wedding fashionistas were compelled to ponder how the digital edition is going to be!

New York Luxury Bridal Fashion Week went “Digital” for its Fall 2020-21 collection. Thirty-two global, luxury bridal designers and members of The Bridal Council have joined to form a unified sales and media platform on PullQuest for Bridal Fashion Week.

The new virtual format for this Bridal Fashion Week, facilitated by the Bridal Council X Pullquest and the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s Runway360 digital platform, was an example of how fashion designers are embracing technology to connect with brides.

While we are looking forward to welcoming live runways shows again, we couldn’t have been more thrilled with the sheer determination of the Bridal Fashion industry not stopping and constantly finding new ways to continue the show. Check out our top 5 designers from this digital edition whose collections are utterly gorgeous!

Elie Saab has always embodied through his creations romantic femininity and continues to do so in a new bridal collection for 2021. Elie Saab drew on the femininity of floral detailing, sticking to large traditional ball gown silhouettes with the brand’s trademark exquisite beading on lace and tulle with oversized bows for a timeless-yet-modern look.

Galia Lahav

Galia Lahav took the glamorous high road with sparkling sheer numbers and discreet thigh-high slits for a red carpet feel. A blend of pastel colors in blush and cream create a feeling of romance and femininity, yet the texture and adventurous draping invite an understated boldness.

Eisen-Stein

Eisen-Stein’s Fall 2021 bridal collection began with a simple floral sketch drawn by Eisenberg during the early COVID-19 lockdowns. The inspiration began with the beauty of flowers and turned into a collection of romantic gowns featuring elegant appliqués, floral embroidery, lace, tulle, and more.

Anne Barge

Anne Barge Fall 2021 bridal collection feels like a walk through the woods or a breath of fresh air—and is perfect for any woman planning a future fall event, in particular. Natural motifs and symbolism aside, these numbers are simply beautiful and painstakingly crafted. We love this GLORY dress which is a sweetheart strapless A-line gown of satin faced organza with buttons to hem. Another dress – BLISS that has a strapless demi corseted bodice with mermaid skirt appliquéd all over with rose embroidered lace and detached illusion bishop sleeves stole our hearts.

Viktor&Rolf Mariage

Mariage FW21 presents a mingling of sculptural garments of light and airy gowns. The ‘Volant Flower High-Low’ from Mariage FW21 has handcrafted flowers created from layers of organza adorn the voluminous skirt in its entirety. The hem is emphasized by a sheer organza volant. The ‘Volant Flower A-Line’ is a flattering strapless satin bodice that gives way to an organza ruffle volant flower artwork that cascades over the full A-line skirt. This floor-length dress features an elegant graphic bow detailing in the back.
