If romance ever was personified, it would be reborn as Rodarte. The female-led organization brought together Hollywood celebs for their start-studded campaign for Fall ’22 collection.
RODARTE is distinguished by the romantic, conceptual way the founders Kate and Laura approach inspiration, storytelling, and how they see the world through landscape, art, film, poetry, culture, and music. Pink is undoubtedly the brides’ favorite color. And we are loving the vibe this collection is giving. From brides to bridesmaids, have a look at their pink dresses that will steal your heart right away!
They wanted to play with ballerina silhouettes and a soft pastel color palette. Ballet has inspired the two designers before: In 2010, they helped design a few costumes for the movie Black Swan.
The lookbook’s celebrity muses, including Charli XCX, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Snail Mail, Janicza Bravo, Taylour Paige, and many more, have also been a format that the Mulleavys have experimented with in the past. Alicia Silverstone modeled Rodarte’s Fall 2021 collection, while a bevy of famous faces (Kirsten Dunst, Haim, and Gabrielle Union, to name a few) was featured for its Spring 2020 collection.
The collection is all about shredded, loose knits; silky dresses with lace panels; ruffled tulle collars and shrouds of tulle capes; sequins layered together to appear liquid. Running counter to the typical moody shades of fall are the pinks and powder blues that dominate the line, layered in with dove gray. It will go perfectly well with themes of pastel, boho or moody! Altogether, the effect is gorgeous and ethereal, as has become the Rodarte standard.
