Mahesh Shirodkar is the Managing Director of Tamarind Tours Pvt. Ltd, India. A self-made entrepreneur and now a veteran in the field with over 40 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Mahesh can truly say that his first love has always been the people and hospitality business. And for most of his 30-plus-year career in the industry, he has set up and run his own companies. In 1989, Mahesh set up Tour Club, a focused inbound Destination Management Company based out of Mumbai. In 2001, it was acquired by the Swiss travel conglomerate Kuoni, and after integrating the new company into Kuoni, Shirodkar took a sabbatical before incubating a new DMC, and Tamarind Global was born.
