An Oriental Dream Musical Wedding Of 2 Celebrity Singers In Ukraine

“You are my favorite song.”

What happens when 2 musicians fall in love? You get a beautiful love song and of course, a musical wedding ceremony! It is all about the wedding of famous Ukrainian singer, producer, and songwriter Vlad Darwin and Armenian jazz-singer Christina Marti. It was a spectacular wedding built on contrasts to highlight the shining personalities of the bride and groom.

Vlad and Christina met each other 7 years ago at the song recording studio when Christina was passing an audition for Vlad’s musical project. Vlad surprised Christina during their trip to Italy and proposed to her at Venetian Grand Canal. They tied the knot on the 16th of November, 2019 in Ukraine and 100 people witnessed the evening full of love and music.

A bright décor, a relaxing atmosphere, and many touching moments with an explosion of emotions, coupled with surprises for the couple were planned. “Our main goal was to focus on the wedding atmosphere than on formal wedding elements. The core source of inspiration for the wedding concept was our bride Christina, a beautiful Armenian soul, therefore it was the oriental motives that became fundamental.” Shares Daria Vlasenko, CBO Daria Vlasenko Weddings from Ukraine who planned and designed this wedding.

The mood was based on deep colors in the design: crimson tablecloths, purple, orange, and yellow palette; real exotic flowers from the subtropical forests of Sri Lanka and Indonesia, golden vases, and candlesticks on guest tables, Moroccan-style furniture and lampshades in the lounge area.

The ceremony area was located in the center of the hall. Fresh flowers showed the symbol of life. A bright pattern on the floor conveyed a fusion of love, joy, and happiness. The mirrored surface conveyed the weightless atmosphere of water, which reflected all the bright accents in floristry. To make the ambiance more surreal, the element of air was created with the help of the lights.

Perfume is the art that makes memory speak. A unique scent with notes of poppy and chocolate was sprayed in the hall during the evening infusing a dose of romance and fun. A perfume with notes of poppy and chocolate was sprayed in the hall during the evening. The professional perfumer – Evgeny Lazarchuk was present during the wedding evening in the interactive aroma zone, where guests could create their perfume and learn all the aroma production subtleties.

The ceremony details were unconventional and modern! The couple decided to walk the aisle together skipping the tradition when the father walking the bride down the aisle and giving her to the groom. The live musical accompaniment on the piano added sincerity to the ceremony. At the end of the ceremony, Vlad and Christina simultaneously played a romantic and enchanting melody on a hang, a unique oriental musical instrument.

Following unconventionality, the program of the wedding was filled with surprises for the guests, one of which was an untraditional couple’s first dance to the composition by John Legend “Made to Love” with contemporary elements and performances of fakirs. The traditional toast-making was replaced with live interviews with guests. Those interviews were recorded and shown on-screen at the wedding. The headlines of the wedding were the couple’s solo and joint performances. An unforgettable and touching moment was the premiere of Vlad’s song, dedicated to Christina, which became a wedding gift and a surprise for her.

Sharing her experience on turning the couple’s dream wedding into reality, Daria says – “Working on the wedding of Vlad and Christina became a real professional challenge for us as we had to do a lot in a short time. I am happy that in the end, we managed to successfully execute it! Despite the program full of performances, we were able to create an atmosphere of comfort, relaxation, and enjoyment for the couple and each of 100 guests. Our team is grateful for the opportunity to participate in this high day!”
