The Couple
Jonathan Pramono and Nyimas Delan Melati Putri or Jojod and Dellany met a few years back, through a mutual friend who set them up. What started as a simple introduction at Pantai Indah Kapuk Jakarta, soon turned into something more, being together and growing in love ever since July of 2018. The pair continued their journey, going strong as ever before getting engaged during the pandemic, and decided to tie the knot in July this year.
The Venue & Date
J&D had their wedding over two days, the 8th and 9th of July 2022. They celebrated with friends and family with multiple events spread between the two dates, a week after being officially married in their church in Jakarta. Since it was an intimate affair with only a handful of their closest friends and family, the couple opted to renew their vows in a more extravagant way. And where better than The Mulia Bali? The 5-star property has a lot to offer, from sweeping beach views to stunning chapels and multiple venues that make for the most unbelievable wedding spaces.
Planning & Decor
Six months prior to the wedding, Jojod and Della reached out to the Vowever Wedding Planner team to help them create magic on their wedding day. Day one started off with a cocktail party, a gorgeous ceremony at The Eternity Chapel, and a buzzing reception in the Unity Garden. The ceremony decor was styled by the wonderful team of Behind the Vows, creating a magical setting under the theme Cloud Nine. With white flowers, cotton installations, and mirror flooring, it was as though they were truly floating over the clouds. The sun rays seeping through the Chapel’s clear glass also added to the elegance and enchantment of the entire ceremony space. Simply, gorg!
Their reception took on a different theme, one that’s all things modern and fun. “Fun fact, Jojod and Dellany are both gamers, and they both played online games called Valorant. Hence the vibe from this game, where it looks modern, edgy, and futuristic, became their main inspiration for the decoration of their wedding, and this was implemented as the main theme concept as this wedding uses holographic, bright colors like light blue, orange, pink, and many neons.” Shares Vowever Wedding Consultant Anthony Widita.
Day two of the celebrations continued with a Tea Pai Ceremony, which is a Chinese wedding tradition that honors elders. It is generally held in the morning or afternoon and involves the groom serving small cups of tea to the bride’s family while the bride serves the groom’s family. In return, the families bless the couple with gifts, often in the form of money or jewelry. They concluded the day with a reception dinner and loads of dancing.
Della is someone who loves to dance. Keeping that in mind, her reception look was carefully designed by wedding gown designer Hian Tjen, creating a delicate and fashionable bridal jumpsuit that allowed her to move around freely.
