  Adam & Anna’s Mexican Fiesta!

When Adam Amsalem asked Anna Aschendorf to their senior prom, neither could have imagined that it would be the start to their love story. After high school they travelled to Israel for a year and continued their further education in Boston for four years together until they finally returned back to New York. Adam proposed in front of the MET with a painting by the couple’s favourite artist. The couple always desired a destination wedding, and after months of searching high and low, their hearts were set on hosting their special day in ‘the land of enchantment’, Mayakoba, Mexico.

The spectacular wedding took place at the Rancho Ixtul, which is situated amongst sprawling, lush lawns alongside the incandescent Riviera Maya in Mexico. The locale provided ample space for all the outdoor and indoor celebrations and the glorious scenic beauty was the perfect backdrop for Adam and Anna’s romantic photoshoot.

The Bedekan and wedding ceremony took place with immense dedication from team and with a lot of last-minute changes due to unpredictable weather conditions. The tropical colour palette reflected the lush greenery surrounding the property with an all green setup. There was a unique green floral wall constructed specially for the bride. The pathway towards the alter was inspired by the weeping willow tree which was created from magenta dendrobiums along with some cherry blossoms and lots of verdant greenery.

Located just 35 minutes from Cancun International Airport, the amazing horse ranch has several wedding worthy amenities. The Main Palapa is a phenomenal 2500+ sqm structure and is considered as the biggest Palapa in the world!

“The reception venue was very challenging one for us to host a wedding in due to its stature, height and the fact that it was round. So, the first thought that popped in our minds was how should we create an intimate event in such a magnificent place. We started out by conforming to the circular area and custom-built tables (each seating 40 people) following the 260 degree. The intimate seating arrangement provided the guests space to socialise very easily yet feel part of the whole event. The high ceiling was adorned with mirrored inflated huge gold balloons. Each table had private music sessions by celebrated musicians and DJs which ran throughout dinner all the way till six in the morning!”- Koby Bar Yehuda, KBY Designs
