“To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Vikram Mehta, owner of Mpire Wedding & Events, India, swears by this quote and this wedding is a perfect example of his belief and vision of spreading happiness.
There is nothing more surreal than marrying your childhood sweetheart and Ayusmita and Arjun are one such couple. Overcoming the challenges of a long-distance relationship, they both managed to stay in touch via phones and regular meets, and eventually, that led them to tie the knot in Dusit Thani Hua Hin, Thailand.
This magical fairy light set up was brought to life by Mpire Events who meticulously crafted the details for this Indian couple. The Welcome dinner concept was a classic long-table sit-down and was followed by a fire show by the beach. A fun-filled pool party was organized where the couple along with friends and family had a joyous time. The decor had Bohemian coral drapes along with pastel TeePee tents which looked refreshingly modish and gave the right amount of flair to the party.
The wedding mandap was embellished with darker shades of pink keeping in mind that it was a dusk wedding. In Indian culture, bridal arrival is considered as an auspicious moment, and Ayusmita the bride, stunned everyone by arriving through a boat across the Dusit Thani lake. She wore an exquisite piece designed by Tarun Tahiliani and made the final entry to the Mandaap under a flower-adorned ‘Phoolon ki chaddar.’ The groom made a savvy entry in a turquoise blue vintage car provided by the Thai tourism department.
During the Sangeet night, the room was decorated with long chandeliers on stage. A huge neon sign with the couple’s hashtag “ArjSaysAyDo” was used as the bar backdrop. Reception was masquerade theme with heavy gold and silver coated masks for all guests placed on each table for the dinner. It was followed by a speech ceremony and cake cutting. An instant wedding highlight was shown to the guests on the spot by Recall Films. Special effects for couple entry throughout the wedding included: Smoke bombs, CO2 guns, Cold Pyros, Niagra Falls, and Dry Ice.
