Curated by QnA International in collaboration with the Supporting Partner, Macao Government Tourism Office, the Congress came to life at Sands Resorts Macao, welcoming attendees from around the world into an atmosphere of creativity and exchange.

Day 1: Arrivals, Team Lab Experience & Welcome Cocktail

As attendees arrived and immersed themselves in the rich, glamorous allure of Sands Resorts Macao, it became evident that this was far more than just an event. It was a thoughtfully curated experience waiting to unfold. The journey began at the elegant G Café at The Londoner Grand, where a warm welcome from the Host Hotel Partner set the tone. Inside their luxurious suites, guests discovered a delightful surprise: a beautifully crafted invitation by our Invites & Stationery Partner, Megha Beria Designs, a breathtaking embroidered peacock hand fan by our Gift Partner, JE Handcrafts, and an indulgent skincare kit by Dior. The evening continued with a leisurely stroll to The Parisian Macao, leading to the enchanting La Vie en Rose experience. Guests crossed the iconic Love Lock Bridge on the 7th-floor observation deck, penning wishes and locking them in place before heading to the glamorous Welcome Cocktail Reception. Set against Macao’s glittering skyline within the Eiffel Tower, the venue exuded Parisian romance with a contemporary edge. The evening featured inspiring addresses by Sidh NC, Director, QnA International; Stephanie Tanpure, Vice President of Sales, Sands Resorts Macao; the legendary Kevin Lee of Luxury Events by Kevin Lee; Sumant Jayakrishnan of Sumant Jayakrishnan Design, India; and Peter Prokopcak, CEO Kvant Events – Middle East, our Light & Laser Show Partner. Adding to the magic, the celebration came alive with vibrant, captivating performances by our Entertainment Partner, Royal Star Entertainment, & Engagement Partner, Violinist Cardinia, making it a truly spectacular start to the event.

Conference Day 1

Following an unforgettable Welcome Cocktail, the first day of the conference began on a powerful note with Master of Ceremonies Bassam Nader setting the tone for the inspiring sessions ahead. The welcome address was then delivered by Mr. Sidh NC, Director of QnA International, marking a strong and purposeful start to the day. This was followed by a destination welcome from Si Tou Lam Lai, Jennifer, Deputy Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), alongside Stephanie Tanpure. Adding further depth to the morning, our esteemed Conference Event Partner, Ariel Chen, delivered an inspiring conference address. The highlight of the session was the much-anticipated opening keynote by the legendary Preston Bailey, who captivated the audience with his insights on the art of reinventing your brand and standing out in an increasingly saturated luxury market.

The conference unfolded further with an interactive and compelling session between Bassam Nader and Dr. Ali Behnam Bakhtiar, Founder & Creative Director of Ali Bakhtiar Designs, who captivated the audience with his powerful perspective that true excellence lies in how one leads through uncertainty. Seamlessly blending insight with inspiration, his talk set the tone for a deeper exploration of leadership and resilience.

Building on this momentum, attendees were then drawn into an equally riveting session by Lelian Chew, the celebrated million-dollar wedding planner and Creative Director of The Wedding Atelier Co. With remarkable finesse, she delved into the subtle art of control in luxury weddings, where perfection is expected, and challenges are inevitable. Emphasizing that true mastery lies in making crisis management appear effortless, she revealed how the most powerful saves are the ones no one ever notices, quiet, precise, and executed before a problem even takes shape.

Following an engaging lineup of sessions, attendees transitioned into a vibrant coffee break and cultural exchange, offering the perfect opportunity to connect, unwind, and share global perspectives. The momentum continued into the much-anticipated Millionaire’s B2B Meetings, where meaningful collaborations began to take shape, followed by lunch networking. Adding a touch of excitement, the raffle draws brought smiles and celebration, with a few lucky winners taking home special rewards as the energy of the day continued to build.

Following a series of empowering sessions, attendees moved into an exciting lineup of parallel masterclasses, each offering a distinct lens on the evolving world of luxury weddings. In one of the sessions, Gideon Hermosa, House of Hermosa, Philippines, highlighted how destination weddings become unforgettable through storytelling, cultural immersion, and intentional design rather than sheer grandeur. His session focused on creating meaningful, multi-sensory experiences, avoiding generic aesthetics, and positioning planners as trusted advisors for UHNW clients.

In another concurrent session, Sumant Jayakrishnan redefined modern luxury by presenting sustainability as a catalyst for innovation, demonstrating how visually stunning celebrations can also be environmentally mindful and culturally respectful. Complementing these insights, Preet Jain of Bling Mushrooms explored the startup revolution transforming the industry, shedding light on the rise of AI, automation, and immersive technologies, and how shifting perspectives on style and substance are reshaping the future of global luxury weddings.

A Dazzling Gala Dinner

After an enriching day at the conference, the evening transformed into a spectacular Gala Dinner where opulence met imagination under the dazzling theme of Crazy Rich Asians. The vision came to life with remarkable flair by the Gala Dinner Decor Partner, Garden. LM Wedding, who created a setting that was nothing short of breathtaking.

The experience began even before guests stepped into the main venue. Thoughtfully curated by the Gala Dinner Engagement Partner, W Avenue Wedding Planning, the pre-function area set the tone for the night with immersive elements including a bespoke perfume bar by our Fragrance Partner, Sovos Perfumery, and customized hand fan stations. Every detail was designed to delight the senses and build anticipation.

As guests made their way into the venue, they were welcomed into a mesmerizing setting that marked the grand beginning of the evening. The night reached its pinnacle as the crème de la crème of the wedding industry took center stage for the prestigious Powerlist Awards, celebrating excellence across the spectrum, from visionary planners to trailblazing content creators, all of whom continue to redefine the art of modern celebrations.

The celebrations continued with a captivating laser show by KVANT Events – Middle East, the Laser & Light Show Partner, adding a dynamic and electrifying dimension to the evening. This was complemented by high-energy performances from the Entertainment Partner, Royal Star Entertainment, along with a performance by the Host Hotel Partner, Sands Resorts Macao, whose exceptional hospitality ensured an atmosphere of seamless grandeur throughout the night.

Conference Day 2

After an insightful first day and a dazzling Gala Dinner, the final day of the DWP Congress began on a serene note with a Sunrise Meditation inspired by A-Ma, offering a moment of calm before a full day of learning and connection. This was followed by registrations, coffee, networking, and the Early Risers Raffles, setting a lively tone for the day ahead.

The conference then moved into an engaging session with Wendy El Khoury, CEO & Founder, the Wedded Wonderland, who shared practical insights on attracting the right clients, building trust, and creating content that delivers real business growth, emphasizing the importance of authority over mere visibility. This was followed by a panel featuring Kevin Lee, Larry Walshe, and Narelle Williams, and an insightful session by Anne Jang, who explored how AI can support wedding planners, from concept creation to execution, while still preserving human creativity.

Carrying the momentum forward, a powerful panel with Ariel Chen, Joseph Radhik, Jessy Karam, and Michele Li brought together global perspectives on creativity, culture, and the evolving future of luxury weddings.

Attendees then stepped into the Innovation Pods, where focused discussions offered deeper, more intimate insights across key aspects of the industry. Evelyn Mills from Marriage Maestroes & Wedding Maestroes, Hong Kong led a fascinating conversation on Chinese wedding traditions, unpacking the cultural symbolism, rituals, and evolving expectations shaping modern celebrations.

Nicole Froelich’s session on creative rights shed light on the importance of ownership, boundaries, and protecting intellectual property in an increasingly digital world. Key questions around image rights, fair use, and authorship of event design were discussed, along with the need for clearer industry standards and pre-event agreements to avoid disputes around credit, usage, and permissions.

Meanwhile, Cyrielle Mohara, Chic & Co, China guided attendees through the realities of planning challenges, sharing practical strategies to navigate complex client expectations and high-pressure scenarios with confidence. The discussion highlighted the gap between perception and reality in destination weddings, the importance of educating clients on feasibility, and the value of designing flexible Plan A, B, and C scenarios without compromising guest experience or aesthetics.

Complementing this, Afi Amoro, Jandel Ltd, Ghana, led a thoughtful discussion on long-term business growth, encouraging planners to think beyond immediate wins and build sustainable, future-focused brands. The session focused on succession planning and business continuity, exploring how creative legacies can be preserved through mentorship, structured leadership transitions, and systems that ensure continuity of culture and excellence across generations.

The day concluded with B2B Meetings and the Boutique Exhibition Lounge, bringing the conference to a close on a high, leaving attendees inspired and better connected.
